Wild Gully vineyard is managed with a commitment to minimal chemical use. With an environmental science background John Stokes planted his Wood Park vineyard amongst regenerating natural bush land in the foothills of the Victorian Alps in 1989. The fruit for this wine was sourced from Con Mara Vineyard in Whorouly South, Alpine Valleys, Victoria. The 3t of fruit was picked in early March and taken back to Beechworth for processing. The wine spent nearly 14 months in 4 x new 500L French Oak puncheons and has yielded a more full-bodied style than the 2013 vintage. This received a gold medal at the North East Victorian Wine Challenge; 94 Points Halliday Wine Companion, 92 Points The Wine Front; and 4 Stars in Winestate.
