A traditional red grape variety from Bordeaux in France, Malbec is increasingly being grown in Australia. The grape is renowned for its deep colour, generous fruit expression and full flavour. Margaret River wine region offers great growing conditions for the variety. Malbec wines from this region show great depth and beautifully reflect the character of the grape. This is not surprising considering Margaret River and Bordeaux experience similar climatic conditions.

Margaret River Syrah is noteworthy because of its fragrance and attractiveness in its youth. Aromas of juicy black cherries and boysenberries with a grind of black pepper. The palate possesses a fine grained texture comprising of ripe tannin which adds to the structure and depth of the wine.White pepper, black cherries and an eastern mosaic of spices greet on the nose, brought to yield by a soft palate of fleshy tannin and coating red and black fruits.

An elegant palate with flavours of dried plum, forest fruits and mocha, with some savoury notes. Tight, fine tannins provide length and structure, to this wine that finishes with dark chocolate notes.

Grape variety - 100% Shiraz. Oak maturation - Portions of old and new French oak for 15 months. Colour - Medium-deep red with purple hue. Aroma - The wine opens with lifted spice and pepper with a dusty floral fragrance. There are ripe fruit characters of plum and mulberry with savoury oak. A lovely example of Margaret River Cabernet Merlot, Flametree Cabernet Merlot is showing big dense fruit characters of blackcurrant and stewed plums. A silky seamless palate with rich fruit concentration and chocolaty complexity. Matured in French oak barrels has softened and rounded this wine.

This wonderfully elegant Shiraz shows intense, pristine, blackberry fruit and ripe, silky tannins. It almost has a Pinot Noir elegance to it and, luckily, the quality of future vintages will only be getting better too as Voyager's new clones come on line.
