Penfolds 50 Year Old Tawny
The 50 Year Old Rare Tawny is a symbol of Penfolds heritage, typifying collaboration and shared creative expression. For Series 1, Penfolds collaborated with glass artist Nick Mount to create 330 units, individually blown and hand crafted to suit the rarity of the wine. The wine encased captures the legacy of past and the aspirations of present winemakers, spanning almost a century of fortified history in one blend. Amongst the many individual components captured in this wine is the 1915 vintage, reported to be the foundation of the first Grandfather cask. Additionally, the 1940, 1945 vintages, the first two commercial releases of the Grandfather (in 1965 and 1969 respectively) and the first Great Grandfather release (1994). Incorporating the 1915 vintage component from Penfolds precious glass stock reserves means the Penfold 50 Year Old Rare Tawny carries a generic connectionto the earliest recorded vintage of Penfolds Grandfather Tawny.

Maker: Clase Azul is a Mexican tequila brand that has been sharing the magic of Mexican culture with the world for the past 25 years. The brand was born from a dream to showcase the beauty of Mexican traditions and land. Its iconic decanter was the starting point of this dream, a unique creation made by Mexican artisans. The name Clase Azul, means blue class, inspired by the blue agave used to make their spirits and the paint on their first Reposado decanter. Despite facing challenges such as natural disasters and financial crises, Clase Azul has stayed true to its ideals and overcome adversity. In 2007, the brand founded Tradición Mazahua, a ceramic workshop where Clase Azul artisans dedicate themselves to creating the brand's decanters as a tribute to Mexican culture. Today their iconic decanters and message is shared in over 55 countries. The brand has transformed into Clase Azul México, but it still preserves the spirit that drives it to showcase the beauty of Mexican culture to the world. Clase Azul México aims to transcend and represent Mexican culture around the world with its exquisite creations and spaces that reveal the heart of Mexico. Philosophy: The agaves used for Clase Azul tequilas grow in Los Altos de Jalisco, a region of red-coloured earth that creates unique properties in the plant. To create their exquisite tequilas, Clase Azul follows a long transformation process that involves slow-cooking the agave piñas in masonry ovens, milling them to extract the sugars, fermenting them with patented yeast, and double-distilling them in copper stills. Clase Azul Tequila Plata is the unaged tequila that captures the notes of the agave, but the journey isn't over yet. The tequila is matured in casks made from oak or other types of wood, allowing it to develop a more complex profile. For more terroir driven tastes, Clase Azul also honours the tradition of mezcal, which can be made from a wide range of agave species and reflects the soil and conditions that have nourished the agave. The artisanship found in Clase Azul's decanters is a reflection of Mexico's cultural diversity. Each decanter is a creative process that demands artistic drive, technical ability and knowledge passed down for generations. The tequila decanters tell stories through their decoration, while the mezcal decanters display caps decorated with precious artisanal techniques. All Tequila's are made from 100% Blue Agave, produced at one of the highest points in the state of Jalisco. Its climate and land properties offer a characteristic tequila flavour. Each of the agaves is grown for 6 to 8 years before harvest. Organic agave requires approximately 72 hours of cooking in old masonry ovens. The baking gives the agave core a unique sweetness – easily perceived by the complexity of aroma and flavors. Nose A Harmonious Prelude A complex blend of caramelized agave, oak, vanilla, dried fruit, and subtle smokiness from the Scotch whisky barrel finish. Palate A Melody of Complexity Smooth and full-bodied with notes of honey, butterscotch, toasted oak, cinnamon, vanilla, and dark chocolate, evolving gracefully with a touch of spice. Finish A Lingering, Soulful Reverberation Long and smooth with dried fruit sweetness, oak complexity, toasted vanilla, and a hint of smokiness for a satisfying finish.

Château Lafite Rothschild Premier Cru Classé Pauillac
In 1815, Guillaume Lawton said of Château Lafite, “I consider it to be the the most elegant and delicate, with the finest substance of the three (Premier Crus). The location of its vines is one of the finest in the Médoc”. In 1855 the Château was ranked as a Premier Grand Cru in the famous classification that was prepared for the Universal Exhibition of that year. A recurring phenomenon in recent years, the beginning of the winter was mild and dry, and it was only at the end of January that beneficial colder temperatures arrived, accompanied by rain. Bud break began in early April as usual, and the vines then grew quickly, as they had ample reserves of water and the weather was mild. In June, flowering was early and uniform, which is always a promising sign. The influence of the Atlantic ocean and the Gironde estuary helped to reduce the effect of a somewhat hot summer with high temperatures. Water stress was high, but rain in August brought the freshness required for the grapes to change colour and then to ripen perfectly. Conditions were ideal during the harvests, enabling us to obtain optimal ripeness for each plot.
