COMMUNE OF BUTTONS ABC Chardonnay, Basket Range, Adelaide Hills Commune of Buttons began with a single dream between brother and sister, to continue as second-generation growers of grapes. The ABC is an exciting Chardonnay from the Buttons family vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. Whole bunches are pressed in stainless steel tanks and then allowed to go through a wild ferment in the barrel before bottling. This has the distinctive hallmarks of natural wine whilst maintaining a textural, bright and clean freshness.

The Lane Series Sauvignon Blanc 750mL is a crisp and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with a bouquet of elderflower, nettle, passionfruit and lime. The palate has a touch of citrus, guava and gooseberry. 2021 represents another stellar release from Sidewwod, the wine has piercingly pure tropical fruits set against crushed herbs on the nose and a palate that has intensity of fruit that is met in equal measure by crunchy, textural acidity. The fruit focuses on passionfruit, with a finely filamented citrus acidity bringing the wine to life and framing excellent length that lingers with boysenberry and subtle peppery green herbs. Paracombe Pinot Gris shows lifted aromas, good flavour definition and balance. An attractive bouquet of pear and rose petal is joined by flavours of fresh nectarine, melon, honeyed pear, and flinty notes. Enjoy with antipasto.

The colour is vibrant pale yellow with hues of gold. The aroma is like spring in the Adelaide Hills. A veritable ripening of stone fruit, especially white peaches and nectarine in the market gardens, butter melon, rock melon and cooking leeks in butter. The French oak smells are a terrific frame for the stone fruit. Overall it has a 3 dimensional quality to the aromas, ripening stone fruit and some creamy & succulent French oak.

2020 Bleasdale Adelaide Hills Riesling A crisp and refreshing wine with delicate floral and citrus aromas, honeysuckle and lime leaf. The palate is generous in flavour with zesty lemon, lime and crunchy pink lady apple flavours, tangy acid with a clean persistent finish.
