Red-brown loam over shale and red clay vineyards in the South and Central Barossa Valley enable St Hallett to create wine parcels of generosity of flavour, length and texture like Faith shiraz.Dark berry fruits and a soft and luscious palate are the hallmark characters of this wine. Pepper spices and chocolate notes marry together with softly coating tannins to complete this rich and generous palate.

Caballero is Tempranillo grape from Bodegas Parra Jimenez, located in central Spain, in La Mancha. This family run winery,makes all wines organic certified and also Demeter biodynamic. Caballero comes from the vineyard called Bernardo.The result is a pleasant dry wine with aromas of ripe berries. Very balance at the end and ideal to serve a bit chilled. Great value wine and it is very versatile as well.

Vintage Note: A warm October and November advanced budburst andflowering by about two weeks earlier than average.March then saw more stable and mild conditionswhich allowed for a slower finish to the season andensured enough time for tannins to ripen and flavourto develop.

Lashings of blackcurrant on the palate are complemented by lengthy, fine grained tannins and hints of cedar oak.
