Inama Vin Soave Classico Screwcap

The Inama Vin Soave Classico Screwcap 2024 is a stunning example of the renowned white wines from Veneto, Italy. Crafted by the esteemed winemaker Inama, this vintage showcases the perfect balance between tradition and innovation. Upon pouring, the wine reveals a pale straw colour with golden hues, enticing the senses with its brilliance. On the nose, delicate aromas of white flowers and citrus fruits mingle with a subtle hint of minerality. On the palate, the wine is refreshing and crisp, with flavours of ripe peach and lemon zest. The use of a screwcap closure ensures the wine's freshness and purity, making it a perfect choice for a summer gathering. This elegant wine will continue to develop and evolve over the years, truly embodying the essence of a classic Soave.

Rudi Rabl Steinhaus Riesling

The Rabl estate was founded in 1750 and today covers around 50 hectares of vineyards in Austrias famous Kamptal wine region. Kamptal gets its name from the river Kamp and is home to Austrias largest wine-producing town, Langenlois. This south-southeast orientated vineyard is planted with Riesling in the upper part comprised of gneiss and slate soils. The lower parts possess deeper soils and are used for Grüner Veltliner. This is a warm site that lends wines a unique smoky mineral character.

Domaine Guilhem & J Hugues Goisot Saint Bris Corps de Garde Blanc

Tahbilk Marsanne

1927 isn't the vintage, but it is the year these Marsanne vines were planted - considered to be some of the oldest Marsanne vines on the planet. That added vine age gives a layer of complexity above and beyond the already impressive varietal purity of the first label. Classic honeysuckle and lemon zest is underscored by a strata of richness and texture. Now sealed under a screw-cap, this Victorian classic is true to vintage, style and varietal.

Kumeu River Chardonnay

This has power and concentration yet retains delicacy and freshness. Mineral, grapefruit, almond meal and quality oak are seamlessly interwoven.

Howard Park Chardonnay

Barrel fermentation and maturation in French oak barriques with partial malolactic has imparted texture and complexity to the minerally grapefruit flavours of this Chardonnay from WA's south-west corner.

Sidewood Mappinga Chardonnay

Medium straw in colour this wine by Sidewood displays lifted white peach, fig, pear and pistachio nuts on the nose. This barrel fermented Adelaide Hills Chardonnay offers superbly structured characters. It is tight and lean, laced with citrus lime and tropical fruit characters. Some lovely subtle complexities from careful oak maturation on lees include nutmeg, sage spice and pistachio flavours which linger on the after taste. A lovely crisp wine now, that will benefit from some short term cellaring once bottled. Serve with Asian style broth, mushroom based dishes or Lobster bisque is a great match to this Chardonnays complexity in flavour, but finesse in structure.

Robert Weil Riesling Trocken

This cuvée is a blend of fruit from high altitude Estate vineyards - including the brilliantly named Sandgrub vineyard - dotted around the village. There's a good dollop of Wasseros too, a fine vineyard which wraps around the Gräfenberg Grosse Lage. We've had some great bottles of this wine over the years, but few with the kind of horsepower on offer here. Racy and cool, with citrus and ripe stone fruit, yet balanced by fabulous, mouth-watering acidity; this is the sort of wine that will make Riesling lovers shudder with pleasure. Robert Weil doesn't make 'entry level' wines, as this clearly shows.

Lark Hill Biodynamic Riesling

Lark Hill sits high a top the Canberra District wine region, some 840m above sea level. This altitude allows their fragrant aromatic whites to truly sing. The Riesling is brilliantly restrained which can be tasted in the overt mineral nature of the wine. Lively citrus blossom with white flowers can also be seen.

Lethbridge Dr Nadeson Riesling

This Riesling by Lethbridge is Germanic in style, with fruit sourced from vines planted in 1982 at Barretts Vineyards near Drumborg. It is made using traditional German wine-making techniques, the hand-picked grapes were whole bunch pressed into tank for fermentation by wild yeast on partial solids. Fresh grapefruit acidity, underlying grapefruit, a dash of sherbet, some early bottle maturation honey and just a hint of ripe mango/peach fruit, all topped off with some yeast funk.
