Life is about connections, and Daniel is nothing if not a “people person”, we wanted this wine to reflect the everyday quality occasions where fun is had, friends are made and life happens. Peter Munro, St Hugo Chief Winemaker Plush, opulent and generous, a modern masterpiece of open and inviting fruit with a little hint of something more. Various parcels were created individually with the objective of blending these to form a synergistic whole. For this reason, many winemaking techniques were employed, including, cold soaking to ensure vibrant floral were present. Generally, parcels spent between 10-15 days on skins in a mixture of open fermenters and closed statics fermenters, reaching temperatures of 26-28°C, to ensure optimum flavour and tannins were extracted. All the resulting parcels were matured in oak for a short period to maintain their fresh vibrant nature. Good Spring rainfall then set the vines up well for what was to become a very mild and dry ripening season. With no significant rain, temperatures below average and only 3 days above 35°C in February and March, ideal ripening conditions were observed resulting in an extended ripening window; a wonderful vintage. Colour: Bright vibrant red. Taste: Fun, generous lively fresh red fruits dance on the palate with softness and approachability. Fine tannins emerge slowly but are controlled by the plush vibrant cherry fruit that lingers. Aroma: Raspberry, strawberry and spiced plums, with lifted violets to entice and an ever so slight hint of char that adds to the intrigue.

Selected for their uniqueness of character and outstanding quality, these Reserce Parcels represent the finest aspects of each vintage. This medium-bodied GSM (Grenache Shiraz Mourvèdre) is full of fresh plum, dark chocolate undertones, hints of spice and a smooth, satisfying finish. Seductive in its youth this wine will continue to develop over the short to medium term.

The family Grenache block on Thiele Road in Bethany are one of the old vines planted in the 40's and still producing fantastic fruit today. Schwarz has dark inky purple colour with a great aromas of sour cherry, ripe dark fruits and a hint of fresh raspberry on the nose. Although not fruit driven, the red fruits characters are lifted with some earthy oak undertone on the palate. Hint of fresh spices with some subtle tannin towards a rather long finish. A bold wine with a difference.

Baroota Creek Cabernet Shiraz is a big wine jam packed with fruit flavours, blackberries, cherries, raspberries, even a hint of rhubarb and spice, all reminiscent of Grandma's signature Christmas cake. This wine showcases Flinders Run's signature style, big and bold but with an elegance that resonates sophistication style and class. A gentle swirl of the glass reveals an impenetrable depth of colour, the wine exhibits glass staining purple hues with a bright and vibrant ruby red rim. A complex wine with layers of ripe fruits, structured tannins bring together a seamless marriage of these two grand varietals.

Baroota Creek Cabernet Sauvignon leaps from the glass, delighting the senses with perfumed Cabernet florals combined with a bouquet of fresh forest flowers. This is a rich and vibrant wine, displaying a stunning depth of colour with a bright ruby red rim, the palate comes alive with flavours of ripe cherries, blueberries, blackberries and currants, wonderfully balanced and encompassed in an elegant veil of soft tannins that leads to a remarkably long smooth and pure finish.

Henschke Bursaria Pinot Noir 2023 Fresh, fragrant, and deeply site-driven. The 2023 Bursaria Pinot Noir marks a quiet triumph for Henschke’s Lenswood vineyard, harvested just a few years after the devastating Cudlee Creek bushfire. Prue and Stephen Henschke’s regeneration of this Adelaide Hills site has led to a release that’s not only poised and varietally pure, but also deeply expressive of its restored landscape. Made entirely from pinot noir grown on steep, cool-climate slopes, it opens with lifted aromatics of red cherry, wild strawberry and bergamot, layered with tomato stem, thyme and forest floor. The palate is bright and silken, with fine tannins framing a vibrant core of raspberry and morello cherry. Matured in seasoned French oak barriques for 18 months, it carries both finesse and quiet persistence. Tasting Notes NOSE – Red fruit and herb Wild strawberry, cranberry and cherry with rose petal, dried thyme and a hint of forest floor. PALATE – Silken and detailed Blood plum, raspberry and morello cherry glide across a fine-boned structure with lively acidity.
