Made in collaboration with Assembly store, this is a lightly carbonated non-alcoholic beverage, similar to that of a pétillant gose. Tart native citrus and bitter hops profile, made with citra hops, lemongrass hibiscus, lemon myrtle, Murray River salt, liquorice root, peppermint, preserved lemon, cane sugar, verjus and filtered water. Their Estate vineyard is managed sustainably, focusing on soil health, and foregoing synthetic chemicals, herbicides, and fertilisers. Fruit is also sourced for their Regional Series from the surrounding Young, Hilltops & Canberra District regions. The 2022 Regional Sangiovese marks the 20th vintage producing this varietal, with fruit sourced primarily from the Hilltops region with a splash of Murrumbateman for elegance. After spending 3 weeks on skins as whole-berries, the wine is pressed to small 5 year old French oak casks for élevage, before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Tasmania’s south has emerged as a pinot noir powerhouse. This is fruit harvested from three vineyards, ensuring only the best quality goes into the end product. The wine is marked first and foremost by amazing aromatics; rose petals and spice overlapping raspberry coulis and winter strawberry. Wet earth and even some petroleum sneak in, adding layers to the experience. It demands a second and third pass under the nose, each time a new leaf lifted and a new aroma revealed - a surefire mark of quality in fruit and winemaking both. On the pallet the red and blue fruit come alive - vibrant and bountiful. The acid sits low in the mouth, and the fruit kind of dances along the back of it. Mushrooms, a glimmer of soy, Turkish delight, rose petal. A superb wine smack dab in the middle of its drinking window - enjoy now and over the next few years.

A lightly structured, light-medium bodied blend of piquant freshness. Harmonious, where no variety is distinct. Each plays its role, but the whole beats to its own rhythm. Lively summer fruits, herb and spice and a floral lift. Wafts of gaminess too. Lunch-time appropriate at 11.8% abv. Lightly chill if you feel, or not. Best between 12-14 degrees in my opinion.

There is a feeling across Victoria region that 2013 may go down as the vintage of the decade. Low rainfall and plenty of heat from December onwards meant winemakers could obtain beautifully ripe fruit, which can be a challenge in parts of this cool region.
