Beautifully perfumed, earthy with cinnamon spice. Complemented by rose petals and lavender. Medium bodied, tightly wound and finely structured. Powerful yet subtle. Think dark cherries, currants and toasty oak. With an underlying earthy, forest floor and smoky tobacco. Decanted this wine opens up like a peacocks tail.

Port Phillip Estate was named the Winery of the Year in the 2012 James Halliday Australian Wine Companion which points to Sandro Mosele's tireless efforts to in making Port Phillip Estate the envy of most cool-climate wine producers. The fruit for their Shiraz comes from plantings established in 1994 and is made to enhance the varietal, regional and site characteristics. It is a stunning example of cool climate Shiraz.

Wonderfully floral aromas of violet and rose petal leading to blueberry, plum and dark fruit. Supported by toasty oak and black pepper spice. Rich and mouth-filling, the palate replicates the nose. A well-structured web of tannins provides exceptional texture and length. A wine that will be complimented by decanting and generously reward cellaring.

Spicy cool climate Shiraz is fermented with whole bunches of a small portion of the white Viognier grape to produce this elegant style. Attractive floral notes of white flowers and peach blossom are enhanced by French oak and Rhone-like pepper and spice on the palate.

This cool-climate Shiraz shows white pepper on the nose with dark fruit and blackberry characters. The palate is full and ripe with berry fruit flavour, tight acidity and fine grained tannins.

One of the Yarra Valley's up and comers, the Punt Road Shiraz is almost black in colour with aromas of cassis and a whiff of licquorice. A palate of plush plums and blackcurrant follows with flash of peppery spice. Kate Goodman continues to do a stellar job at one of the Yarra Valley's best wineries.
