The Rock of Solitude is a special place in our vineyard, a single flat rock facing west, overlooking Geographe Bay. In the quiet of the early morning and evening this is the perfect place to seek seclusion and regain energy from the earth. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were machine-harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The ferments were pumped over twice a day. Postalcoholic fermentation, it was pressed to tank before racking off to barrel for malo-lactic fermentation and maturation. The wine was then blended together, fined, filtered and bottled.

Dame de Boüard is the second wine of Château Clos de Boüard. Another expression of the Clos de Bouard terroir. This wine has aromas of ripe fruit, roasted aromatic herbs and hints of sweet spices. Its velvety tannins, fruity character and lovely volume on the palate give it a hedonistic character that is immediately accessible

The Estate This vineyard of 50 ha exists since 1946, in the heart of the well-known wine region in Bordeaux, Médoc. The winery is created by the family who are passionate about wine. Currently managed by the grandson of the owner, and keep passing the family tradition and Médoc tradition. This chateau has over 75 years of history. Tasting notes This wine has a very deep ruby colour. The nose reveals a complex bouquet, balanced and well-rounded on the palate with notes of red berries, cherry and violet. You will especially appreciate its fine attack, harmonious evolution, freshness, and fruity aroma which blends into the long and pleasant finish. Food pairing This wine can perfectly go along with grilled red meat, lamb, and cheeses, beef, veal and poultry. The family behind DBR Lafite has been producing wine in Bordeaux since 1868. The wines of the Saga R range serve as the reference point of each appellation, with a focus on expressing the freshness and elegance that make Bordeaux great. For Saga R Bordeaux Rouge, there is a higher proportion of Merlot (70%) with remainder of the blend (30%) sourced from well-exposed slopes suited to Cabernet Sauvignon. The Bordeaux tradition of blending these grapes is followed to make a more harmonious wine, and no oak is to preserve the purity of the fruit. A gorgeous bright, crimson purple in appearance, with aromas of dark berries (blackberries, blackcurrants) and Morello cherries. The palate is dense, harmonious and balanced with an aromatic, spicy finish of liquorice. Wonderfully fresh, with richness and excellent drinkability.

Bordeaux rosé, typically over 90% Merlot, with small proportions of the Cabernets Franc and Sauvignon. Pale yet vibrant pink right to the rim with a nose of savoury red fruits, elegant and with an attractive leafy note, leading to a creamy, textural palate of fresh red fruits, lightly spiced and with refreshing acidity leading into a long finish with a hint of redcurrant. Ideally, drink within two years of vintage.

CLOS DES LUNES Lune d'Argent Grand Vin Blanc Sec, Bordeaux

Cullen, world famous for their Diana Madeline Cabernet Merlot, have introduced another Cab Merlot, a distinguished offshoot of the Langton's classified Diana Madeline. Majority Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Merlot and touch of Petit Verdot gives the wine a luscious, bright cherry flavour with red berries playing their part. Aged in French oak, 40% of which was new, for one year. Delicious to serve with veal, lamb or beef today, but will also reward up to 10 years in the cellar.

This red from France is a great introduction to Bordeaux without the expensive price tag. A deep purple colour with hint of spice and vegetal aromas. The palate is supple and round with notes of plum, leather and spice with a rich, persistent finish.

The bouquet shows great density, ripe concentrated blackcurrant, anise, black cardamom and lifted lavender with hints of black olives and plum aromas. The entry on the palate is soft and succulent whilst displaying a subtle texture with a black core of fruit including boysenberry, dark cherries and olive tapinade. The tannin and acid are seamlessly integrated from the front through to the long and lingering finish.

The 2014 vintage shows a lovely deep purple colour. Soft, supple and stylish are just three words to describe this beautiful wine. Full bodied and vinous on the palate with flavours of red and black fruit. The finish is a perfect example of a wine with character and breeding.
