The grapesfor this wine were picked from our 40 year old vines grown in the volcanic soilof the ancient Fordwich Sill. These low yielding mature vines produce ripe, concentrated fruitwhich results in a wine with excellent regional and varietal characters.

Champions of cool-climate New South Wales, Logan have produced a Merlot with balanced fruit sweetness with true complexity. There is plenty of smooth, rich and voluptuous fruit on offer while fine-grained tannin and structured acid add a further dimension to this luscious wine. One could certainly argue that this is the perfect food match wine.

Meet the black sheep of the Scarborough family, a Pinot Noir that defies the odds of a warm region with varietal charm. These days its a scarcity to find Pinot Noir in the Hunter Valley but Scarborough are firm believers in the style and select the best fruit possible to create a non-vintage style that is the best interpretation of the variety. The Tasting Panel was extremely impressed by this wine. An excellent example of Malbec, with loads of varietal fruit power yet manages to retain a degree of elegance.Dense crimson black saturation. Immense cola and prune with perfect freshness and ripeness. Dense palate richness with cola and blackberry, mouth-filling chocolatey power, and superb tannin richness and depth. A very well made example of the variety.
