Luigi Pira Barolo Marenca

On the palate it is very vigorous, rich in extracts, with lively and pleasant tannins that are rounded through a skilful use of wood. A powerful, tantalizing wine with a great ageing potential.

Château Certan-de-May Pomerol

Château Certan-de-May is a wonderul, quaint vineyard with only 5 hectares under vine that produce a rich, smooth and fleshy Merlot dominated wine. Located right in the heart of the Pomerol appellation on Bordeaux's right bank, this vineyard enjoys the same soil as it's neighbour, the acclaimed Château Cheval Blanc. The 2009 vintage release of the Certan is a bruising, black fruited beast that is slightly overpowering to some degree early in its life, yet for those who like their Merlot's with a bit of power, this is your Pomerol. Give it 5 to 10 years in the cellar though and all parties are sure to revel in this succulent masterpiece.

Clos Saint-Martin Grand cru classe

Taking its name, appropriately enough, from Saint Martin, the Patron Saint of winegrowers, Clos Saint-Martin wines are renowned for their sensuous, opulent style - all lush, fruit-driven flavours and silken textures. This is embodied particularly beautifully in arguably the finest wine the estate has ever produced - the notoriously difficult to find 2005 Clos Saint-Martin. The winery dates back to the early 1800s and most recently changed hands in 2013, coming under the ownership of the Cuvelier family, who also own Clos Fourtet. Managed under the partnership of Michel Rolland, the evolution of Clos Saint-Martin continues to unfold in the most interesting (and delectable!) of ways.

Tenuta Luce Toscana

The 2022 Tenuta Luce Toscana from Tuscany, Italy is a beautifully crafted wine that embodies the essence of the region. Upon first pour, the deep ruby hue catches the eye, twinkling in the light like a rare gem. The nose is greeted with an elegant bouquet of ripe berries, cherries, and plums, interwoven with subtle hints of cedar and spices. On the palate, this wine is velvety smooth, with a medium body and balanced tannins. Flavors of dark fruits and black currants dance on the tongue, accompanied by notes of vanilla and a touch of earthiness. The finish is long and lingering, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and richness. This vintage truly showcases the expertise of Tenuta Luce, delivering a wine that is both bold and refined. It pairs beautifully with hearty meat dishes, making it the perfect addition to any special occasion. Cheers to a masterpiece from Italy's esteemed Tenuta Luce.

Wendouree Shiraz

Langton's Classification: Exceptional

Wendouree has achieved cult status with its tiny production from ancient vines. Luscious dark berry Shiraz fruits and some meaty characters run through the full-bodied palate with ripe tannins.

Teusner Albert Shiraz

Teusner Albert Shiraz is made from old vines in the northern Barossa; rich black fruits and tarry cassis with smoky undertones, the finish is long and luscious. Could easily be cellared for the medium term.

Kaesler Old Bastard Shiraz

Langton's Classification: Outstanding

A full and fruity Shiraz, Kaesler Old Bastard is fresh on the nose with hints of blackberries, raspberries and blueberries. On the palate, forest fruits, blackberry and mulberry mingle with spices of anise and nutmeg with some coffee and chocolate notes. Tannins are silky and balanced, with a nice acidity. This shiraz will cellar for 20+ years.

Bright medium red with purple hue in colour; On the nose: pronounced Blackcurrant, crushed wet leaves and dark plums, bouquet of wild violet and a decent amount of almost wet tobacco oak. Peter Lehmann Stonewell Shiraz

Langton's Classification: Outstanding

One of the benchmarks of Barossa Shiraz, Peter Lehmann's Stonewell is a classic example of the rich concentrated old vine style. While bold on the palate, there is always an inherent complexity to the Stonewell that enables it to be compared with all of the great Australian wines produced today.

Mount Langi Ghiran Shiraz

Oustanding cool-climate peppery Shiraz from a great vintage in Victoria. Full bodied, powerful and dense this wine is at its best now. Enjoy with meat dishes.
