Guillaume Gonnet Bel Ami Châteauneuf du Pap

The Gonnet family has been settled in Bédarrides since 1600. The domain's holdings are made up of several vineyards, most of which are named after local landmarks, including Font de Michelle, La Crau, and La Pierre Plantée. Etienne Gonnet created Font de Michelle in 1950. Since 2006, Guillaume Gonnet has served as owner and winemaker of his family's Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate. In addition, he and his Australian wife Kelly have created this remarkable line of signature cuvées.

Clos Saint Jean Chateauneuf de Pape

A stunning blend from the stony terroir of La Crau, this wine has depth, concentration, and purity in spades. 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 4% Mourvedre, 3% Cinsault, 2% Vaccarese and 1% Muscardin, the Grenache is never aged in any wood, but the Mourvedre and Syrah are aged in a combination of one year old and two-year-old oak barrels. Black cherries, kirsch, licorice, pastille, and crushed rock notes rise from this ultra-fine, polished grenache forward wine. Enjoy a distinct floral character that washes the palate in waves. 'Deeper and more concentrated than the 2018, the 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape is as impressive as I can remember this cuvée ever being. Dark in hue, overflowing with dark fruit, full-bodied and velvety in texture, with a long, licorice-tinged finish, this looks very promising.' 2021-2030. (92-94) - Robert Parker.

St Hallett Blockhead Shiraz Grenache

Voluptuous, juicy red berry, dark chocolate and savoury spice flavours with soft flowing tannins, smooth and balanced. The Blockhead range is characterised by its drinkability and its soft, lush and generous palate.

Yangarra Old Vine Grenache

While certainly lighter, more elegant, and a different style to that of some of previous years, the 2011 vintage is one of the greatest Grenache vintages Yangarra has ever produced. The white pepper spice is telling of such a cool year, and is married with bright cherries and raspberry alongside complex hints of liquorice, chicory and cured meats. The tannins are fine and delicate, and the acidity alike.

Curtis Cavaliere McLaren Vale GSM

Wonderfully composed and sweetly fragrant, the wine shows mixed berry compote, Black Doris plum, cocoa and toasted nut characters on the nose with subtle spicy complexity. The palate is succulent and plush, offering excellent weight and fleshy mouthfeel, leading to an impressively long silky finish. Harmonious and immensely appealing. At its best: now to 2026.

Comando G Rozas 1er Cru Grenache

The Rozas 1er cru Garnacha is, as the name says, classified premier cru by Comando G. Elegant and poised, this wine is a step up in classification and altitude, sitting above the Rozas Villages vineyards close to the ceiling beyond which growing grapes isn't really viable. The brick-red tinge to the colour bring Langhe to mind, Nebbiolo specifically, and there are more hints of that in the glass. The colour and the approachability owe a lot to the greater presence of silt midst the layers of granite. For the 1er cru, the vines are older, the soils are lighter and the altitude of the vineyard is higher than the village showing that signature highwire Sierra de Gredos/Comando G acidity.

Comando G La Bruja de Rozas Garnacha Grenache

Comando G La Bruja de Rozas The La Bruja de Rozas is a Villages style wine. The name translates to the witch of Rozas. Superstitions and rumours abound in the area where near ever-present and eerie cloud cover that sits. The fruit is sourced from several vineyards around near the village of Rozas. And there is more than a hint of Villages Burgundy about the La Bruja. Expect dried cherries and herb notes on the nose and pinpoint signature Gredos/Comando G acidity. A great introduction to Comando G and Sierra de Gredos Grancha. "Most of the Comando wines we sell go into cellars of winemaker in Barossa."- Lachlan Barber, Alimentaria Wine
