The 2024 vintage of Wirra Wirra Church Block Grenache Shiraz from McLaren Vale is a true expression of the terroir of South Australia. The nose is greeted with aromas of ripe blackberries, cherries and plums, followed by hints of vanilla and spice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with a velvety texture and balanced tannins. Grenache is Australias signature grape variety and were slightly obsessed with it. Utilising a range of premium vineyards across The Barossa and McLaren Vale regions of South Australia, Thistledown have crafted a wine that captures all that is good about Grenache. Aromatic, deceptively light but with beautiful wild fruit, and slurpy, supple tannins.

Sourced from two vineyards, the youngest 60 years of age, and then made without sulphur or fining agents. Designed to be enjoyed whilst young and fresh.Very fresh red to purple. Raspberry, cherry, earth and pomegranate. fruit characters flow on from the nose with a velvety mouthfeel, rounded and gentle tannin harmony and lovely savoury persistence. A great young-drinker.

Shiraz and Grenache blend beautifully in many of the warmer parts of South Australia. This AAA is Paxton's 9th release, crafted similar to a Rhone-style wine yet it is packed with Au's Terroir. Bright with juicy red berry fruits and spices on the palate with well integrated oak and tannins, giving this wine a remarkable lengthy finish.

The McLaren Vale can be considered the true home of Grenache blends here in Australia witho some of the oldest vines in the world being dry grown there. Steve Maglieri's Serafino label provides a rich and delicious GSM blend a nose of rose petal and tobacco. The palate flows on with dense coffee and cedar notes that glide across the tongue.

Here they re-launched their estate wines under the 'Davey Estate' label and concentrate on single sites. This Cabernet is wonderfully youthful and full of vibrancy. Fresh black fruit with roasted spice and superbly balanced tannins.
