Josef Chromy Bohemia by Josef Chromy Chardonnay

This is an excellent example of cool climate Tasmanian Chardonnay. Restrained style of partially oak-fermented Chardonnay with buttery, stone fruit aromas and a creamy palate owing to post fermentation battonage. Perfect pal to chicken parma, creamy pasta dishes or vintage cheddar.

Holm Oak Pinot Gris

Riversdale Estate Pisces Chardonnay

Ah, Tasmanian Chardonnay, never leave me. There's a creaminess here, a generosity that entices you to drink more. Peach yoghurt, almond croissant and custard apple do their rounds on the palate before the texture and minerals start coming through, bringing with them some zestier flavours - lemon drop and green apple. This could go either way and, while it is drinking very happily now, I'd be equally interested to see what a few years might bring. Drink: 2022-2025. Price: $35. Rating: 90/100.

Devil's Corner Sparkling Cuvèe

The cooler climate in Tasmania has always been an ideal place for Pinot Noir to grow as this variety requires longer ripening periods. Chardonnay on the other hand just thrive the extra time to develop more elegant floral, crisp green apple, citrus flavour and natural acidity. When these two join forces, they become the classic base blend ideal for Sparkling wine. This is well balanced with a dry, refreshing finish.

Sandy Bay Estate Tasmania Chardonnay

Towerhill Dry Riesling

This classic Mt Barker Riesling exhibits a vibrant, floral bouquet with notes of lime zest and wet stone. The palate is fresh, crisp and deliciously balanced, with refined citrus and mineral flavours leading into a long finish. Irresistible when its young, this wine is also worthy of 5-8 years careful cellaring to develop the complexity characteristic of the region.

Tertini Estate Chardonnay

Towerhill Riesling 'Royalle'

The aroma is seductive, fresh with enticing lime juice, lychee and citrus blossom. This wine has a subtle power with elegant lime and floral characters coming to the fore, whilst the palate has great length, being both dry and yet mouth-filling. This is enhanced by a small proportion of the wine being matured in old French oak and the balance of the wine is reinforced by hallmark Mt Barker Riesling acidity. Suitable for cellar with a right cellaring condition.

Spring Vale Sauvignon Blanc

Tasting Notes:The 2019 Spring Vale Sauvignon Blanc has intense aromas and flavours of passionfruit and guava with subtle citrus, floral and cut grass characters. Vibrant, generous with a creamy texture and bright citrusy finish.Great with Tassie scallops cooked in garlic butter with a side of fresh, steamed asparagus.

Towerhill Riesling

Another superb Riesling vintage for Mt Barker region has produced a wine of great power and purity with a layered bouquet of fresh citrus, red apple and white flowers. The palate shows wonderful flavour intensity, balance and minerality with a core of natural, cool climate acidity that will ensure that this wine develops in complexity over the next ten years with careful cellaring.
