In the 1930s, Marcel Ott was attracted to a very old property near the coastline and the intense blue of the Mediterranean. Overlooking the sea, Clos Mireille is in Londe les Maures close to Brégançon.

Alain Pascal is the man mountain behind the Domaine du Gros'Noré - a man big is stature, and big in character. These traits are refelcted in his terroir specific wines of the Bandol sub-region in Provence; muscular and complex, yet soft, supple and thoroughly engaging. A semi-dry wine with a soft pink colour and character which makes it outstandingly attractive from the rest of the wines of our choice. Taste and aromas of the wild strawberries, caramel and honey.

Juicy redcurrant and raspberry flavours, slight minerality expressing stone fruit and citrus notes perfectly balanced with subtle creaminess and a crisp natural acidity.

Translucent cherry color. The nose offers up aromas of ripe cherries, plum juice and pomegranate with spice endnotes. Flavors of sweet cherries intermix with pomegranate and plum juice followed by some spice on the medium dry finish. Brisk acidity with an aftertaste of sweet cherries, plum juice, pomegranate, and light spice.

As a negociant and vinificateur (winery), Caves desclans identifies vineyards, grapes and wines from château desclans as well as local growers to make what has reputedly become the worlds greatest rosé. As our objective is to obtain the best quality grapes and wines, we have created relationships with the local grape growers, committed beside Caves desclans, whose vineyards are treated with the same high standards of quality as are the vineyards of Château desclans.

Vinification is simple and centred around preserving the delicacy, freshness and vitality found in early picked old vine fruit. This Spinifex Rose consists of Grenache (52%), Cinsault (30 %), Mataro (14%) and Ugni blanc (4%). Bunches from mature (averaging 65 years of age) dry drown vineyards are hand harvested and the crushed and left to macerate for between 4 and 48 hrs prior to pressing.

This refreshing rose has been made for immediate drinking. Light crisp and fresh this juicy wine makes a great match with salads and pasta dishes.
