This Semillon from a sustainably farmed vineyard in the Hunter Valley region was hand picked from 40 year old Semillon vines. The grapes were then fermented with skins, pressed, and barrel aged for 3 months in old Chardonnay French oak. There was no additions, fining or filtration of the wine when bottled. The result is a textural, juicy wine with a zesty dry finish, with flavours of mandarin marmalade and a hint of lemon.

The home of Semillon in Australia is unquestionably the Hunter Valley and Briar Ridge produce a Semillon that has lovely pale straw hues with crisp lemon on the nose and brilliant lime zest on the palate.

Drink the Brokenwood Semillon young for its zesty lime and lemon flavours or age it for 4-6 years to experience the succulent honeyed flavours of aged Semillon.

A bright light emerging from the Hunter, Boydell's are kicking some goals already. The wines are made by the talented Liz Silkman, from quality fruit.Bright mid lemon colour. With it's golden hue with a green tinge and baked apple with hints of toastiness on the nose. Citrus flavours of lemon and lime and a buttery texture with good length and crispness on the finish. Audrey Wilkinson Semillon from the home of Semillon in Australia, the Hunter Valley is a lovely crisp Semillon with abundant citrus fruit flavours, limes, lemons and a hint of sherbet. Delicious.
