From vines over or approaching 100 years old, this was open - fermented with wild yeast, then spent 18 months in some new, mainly old, French oak barriques. Concentration shows in the colour and aroma of this shiraz, as well as the powerful, full-bodied palate, which shows guts and grip, if not great elegance. Dense chocolate and blackberry aromas are a feauture of this beautiful wine.

At Grant Burge wines, we challenged ourselves to come up with the most vibrant and impactful wines possible. The result was Ink.Juicy fruit palate with juicy black fruits. The palate is moderately weighted and balanced with fruit sweetness with a perfectly matched soft structure that finishes clean and fresh.

Rockbare's second label, Mojo Shiraz punches way above it's weight in the quality division. Rich and ripe, this versatile wine would not be out of place at the dinner table or at a BBQ.

Grapes for this Shiraz are sourced from our growers in the Barossa Valley. The well ripened grapes are carefully destemmed and crushed to fermenters where they are macerated in a way to minimise extraction of hard tannins. All providing a rich and generous nose and mouthfeel. This is achieved with less vigorous maceration and lower fermentation temperatures. Maturation then takes place with American and French oak before blending and bottling. The grapes for our Shiraz come from our loyal growers throughout the Barossa Valley. Soils, site and viticultural practices vary but the one common factor in these vineyards is the unmistakable generosity that shines through in the wine.

Aromas A characterful wine with aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, dark plums, dark boiled lollies, pomegranate, with hints of coconut and cedar oak. Taste True to the Barossa style of a full bodied wine and jam-packed flavours of cherries and red liquorice, balanced with integrated oak providing length and structure. Krondorf is a name synonymous with the Barossa Valley with a long and prestigious history. Beginning life with the establishment of the Glenview winery back in the 1850s, Krondorf was reinvigorated by Grant Burge in 1978 and today has gone on to become one of the country's most awarded wineries. The Shiraz is a class-A, born and bred, full-bodied Barossa red. Bright garnet in colour with a vibrant nose of mulberry and hints of sweet strawberry. In balance tannin and acid balance along with a superb long length make this Barossan a wonderful value-for-money buy.
