Escarpment Vineyard Te Rehua Pinot Noir
Te Rehua is the warmest and richest of the Escarpment vineyards, producing a classically structured Pinot Noir with ample volume of ripe red berry fruit. A single vineyard wine, the Te Rehua is sourced from the 1.1 ha Barton Vineyard anchored on the deep alluvial gravels of the Martinborough Terrace. The wine is fermented in traditional open topped wooden vats and regularly hand plunged before undergoing maturation in 30% new French oak for 12 months. The wine is fined but not filtered.

Our Heritage Cabernet Sauvignon is the culmination of an intensely detailed approach to our vineyards and grape selection. From our vigour and soil mapping techniques to the identification of select parcels and hand harvesting bunch by bunch, we ensure gentle handling through every stage of production. The nose is bursting with classic varietal aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and plum, layered with floral notes, liquorice, and dried herbs. On the palate, juicy redcurrant and cassis are complemented by dried rose petals and nori, with firm yet elegant tannins that promise both immediate appeal and long-term potential.

Margaret River is a world renowned Chardonnay producing region and Pierro can rightfully stake a claim as to why. Incredibly complex, it is a tangle of fine-boned acid, lees complexity, pristine fruit and the most detailed use of good quality oak. Extremely enjoyable now, but will benefit from short to medium term cellaring.
Bannockburn Pinot Noir
Bannockburn is spicy with well intergraded savoury oak and great acidity backbone. The varietal flavours such as, raspberries, strawberries and red cherries fruits lingers with a faint hint of forest floor on the palate with well supporting tannins. A greatly composed wine, this is undoubtedly pushing the setting of this country's benchmark for Pinot Noir to another level.
