This wonderfully elegant Shiraz shows intense, pristine, blackberry fruit and ripe, silky tannins. It almost has a Pinot Noir elegance to it and, luckily, the quality of future vintages will only be getting better too as Voyager's new clones come on line.

Howard Park has joined Australia's First Families of Wine and is amassing a loyal following. From the Scotsdale vineyard site, this Shiraz mingles earthy and spicy aromas layed out before a palate displaying great concentration but supreme elegance. Black fruits, liquorice and five spice overarch layered tannins that are fine and persistent.

Bunkers Guillotines Shiraz is a visual wonder to behold, with its vibrant reddish purple hue and faint highlights on the edges. Blackberry and white pepper aromas jump off the bouquet and flow straight towards the nose, tempting you all the more to drink it. Spicy cherry, plum and tannin flavours dominate the palate, which is medium weighted, textured and mildly intense, leading to a vanillin oak finale. Pair this exquisite wine with venison and beef dishes, and you are in for a memorable treat!

Beautiful fruit sourced from Mount Barker has gone into this excellent stylish and elegant cabernet. Deep, dark and inky; a complex black olive bouquet, with a very rich, powerful and heady mix of cassis, cedar and a little violet thrown in for good measure. Excellent firm structure threads through the controlled intense and balanced palate. A little astringency on the finish. Plenty of blackcurrant and savoury plum flavours with a touch of cedary oak. Cellar 6 years.

Margaret River Syrah is noteworthy because of its fragrance and attractiveness in its youth. Aromas of juicy black cherries and boysenberries with a grind of black pepper. The palate possesses a fine grained texture comprising of ripe tannin which adds to the structure and depth of the wine.White pepper, black cherries and an eastern mosaic of spices greet on the nose, brought to yield by a soft palate of fleshy tannin and coating red and black fruits.

Vibrant dark purple with rich dense mulberry hue. Lifted fruits of the forest, mulberry, white spice and rich fruitful punch. Rich black fruits with mulberry concentration and vibrancy. Hints of dusty chocolate structure lift the fruit profile. Hints of Star Anise and Chinese 5 spice help drive the palates line and length. Fruit density, spicy savouriness is the key to this palate.

Bright, red and dark berries. A touch of sweet spice, dense, intense fruit on the palate. Really impressive. Great balance and length.

A great Margaret River Shiraz with temperate ripening conditions promoting fruit intensity, richness and fine tannins. The palate is restrained and balanced with flavours of plum and aniseed spice.
