Head Red Shiraz
Head Wines was started in 2006 by Alex Head. It focuses on single site Rhône varietals from the Barossa and Eden Valleys in South Australia. Head Red is a barrel cull from Barossa vineyards including 'The Blonde', 'The Brunette' and The Contrarian single vineyard Shiraz wines. It allows a pre-view of the vintage quality to come and keeps the quality of the Single vineyard wines as high as possible. The wine receives 12 months barrel age in predominantly older French hogsheads allowing the vintage and terroir to show clearly. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Brokenwood Shiraz
Brokenwood Shiraz is a ripe and generous Shiraz with lifted cherry and mint aromas nicely balanced with sweet chocolate notes on the nose and a soft rich palate with savoury cedary flavours and fine grained tannins on the finish.
Yellow Tail Shiraz
The Yellow Tail Shiraz has aromas of ripe berries and sweet vanilla. Spicy, sweet fruit flavours on the palate are matched with subdued earthy tones and fine tannins.
Pikes Eastside Shiraz
The Pikes Eastside Shiraz is a rich ripe fruit Shiraz true to its Clare Valley origins. Dark berry flavours are integrated with the sweet oak character and long, satisfying textured finish.
Frankland Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
An elegant, stylish and tightly-knit wine that unfolds to reveal opulent fruit flavours with savoury undertones and the dusty, earthy character that distinguishes Frankland Estate wines.
Marron Creek Cabernets
Marron Creek make wines from the very southern tip of the Frankland River Region in Western Australia. This certified organic vineyard is nestled amongst the famed Karri trees of the region, where we grow and hand craft our wines in the pursuit of exemplary quality. This premium Cabernet combines elegance and balance reflecting the cool, pristine environment of our farm. The wine cabernet is filled with cedary savour and rich, ripe forest berries, cassis and blueberry. It’s beautifully balanced and partners with roast lamb and rosemary.
Snake + Herring "Extreme Ways" Tempranillo
The 2018 Extreme Ways Tempranillo has red fruits: cherries, raspberry, mulberry and earthy fresh leather complexity. There is also underlying cardamom and some white flowers. Rich and generous on the palate the 2018 Extreme Ways is a product of perfect ripening in a great Frankland vintage. The succulence is balance by fine graphitic tannins with a gentle drying dustiness on the long finish.
Tahbilk Shiraz
Aromas of plums, spice and background peppery hints lead to a richly flavoured palate of blackberry, plum and anise fruits. Firm, supportive tannins will hold this release in good stead for further cellaring.
Elderton Shiraz
Elderton is one of Australia's great Shiraz producers, year in and year out. Brimming with ripe juicy blood-plum and chocolate flavours, this is almost like Black Forest cake in a bottle!
