David and Jenny Jones are making wine with tremendous depth of fruit flavour, reflecting the relatively low-yielding but very well- maintained vineyards in The Pyrenees. Their flagship Dalwhinnie Eagle Shiraz is a perfect example of this. Pristine and fresh with more of everything providing plenty of stuffing, redcurrant, blackberry and sage characters.

The Victorian Pyrenees region is one of the few regions in Australia capable of producing consistent and distinctive high quality Merlot. Produced from selected parcels of fruit from their estate vineyard, this Merlot shows definitive varietal and regional character: medium-bodied in weight with a vibrant mouthful of bright fruit flavours, supported by a firm structure of fine grain tannins.

Our 2018 Shiraz is a classic Shiraz! The 2018 vintage was hot and dry, which resulted in small, intensively flavoured grapes. The 2018 vintage is a beautifully balanced Shiraz, but we've still retained a strong fruit driven note with smooth tannins and subtle French oak. Great drinking now and put it away for a few years.

Dark fruits and licorice intermingled with forest undergrowth notes precede a long lasting, fine tannin Rosemary flavoured finish. The medium weight but firm structure and vibrancy of this wine ensure it has many possible food matches.

Blue Pyrenees Shiraz is firm favourite of not only the full-bodied, Shiraz loving customer, it's also the favourite of many of Dan Murphy's Fine Wine staff! Blue Pyrenees Shiraz is a wonderful cool-climate Shiraz that shows cardomon, cloves and blackberry. Palate has chocolate, soft tannins and balanced acid. A brilliant full-bodied shiraz with plenty of character.

Delightful fragrant potpourri driven floral aromatics complement the deep dark cherry fruit intensity of this single vineyard wine. The palate is perfectly balanced with concentrated primary fruits, and the use of sweetly spiced French oak adds integrated mature tannin and further layering of flavours. Our 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic Cabernet! The 2018 vintage was hot and dry and as such we had very small, but intensely flavoured grapes. Which, as you would expect has produced a fantasticly rounded and flavoured wine! It is fruit driven with smooth tannins and subtle French oak. Blackcurrant and Cherry flavours are the order of the day. Great drinking now and put it away for a few years.
