Penfolds Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz

The Penfolds Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz is a relatively new addition to the Penfolds stable, sourced from the Barossan sub-district, Marananga. Simply a revelation, this wine is an inky, black beast in the glass with lashings of dark chocolate and coffee accented fruit, yet this years offering shows a lingering, soft structured finish that will see the wine cellar very nicely.

Katnook Odyssey Cabernet Sauvignon

An intricately layered palate structure of ripe fruit and oak flavours seamlessly combined by maturation in barrels. Ripe dark berries, hints of dusty mulberry and spicy plums with subtle vanilla, mocha and chocolate oak flavours are richly interwoven. Fine grained, softly assertive tannins complement lingering flavours. Drinking at its peak, a great statement of luxury Australian Cabernet Sauvignon.

Wynns Single Vineyard Glengyle Cabernet Sauvignon 21

Each vintage Wynns select a premium parcel from a single vineyard to bottle separately. This year the selection is from the Glengyle vineyard, creating a true wine of stature. The flavours a beautifully fresh, echoing crunchy red berries and intriguing gentle florals. This wine is finely polished and focused in structure, with great persistence and intensity giving the impression of a wine that is layered, flowing and building all at once. A true wine of stature and iconic status.

Thorn-Clarke William Randell Shiraz

William Randell is Thorn Clarkes flagship Shiraz named in honour of William Richard Randell, a 19th century family ancestor and distinguished Australian pioneer. A full bodied rich and spicy style with ripe plum and cassis, sweet coconut oak and plentiful grainy tannins, it has the structure and concentration to reward long term cellaring. The Shiraz is sourced from estate owned vineyards in the Barossa Valley. Vinification takes place in small open top fermenters, manually pumped over and then transferred into 40% new American oak for up to 16 months.

Dalwhinnie Moonambel Shiraz

Langton's Classification: Excellent

Made from low yielding vineyards at Moonambel in the Pyreness district of central Victoria, Dalwhinnie is an example of how good Victorian Shiraz can be. Tremendous depth of flavour running the gammet from red currants to dark plums, spice and mineral. The plentiful tannins are absorbed by the fruit and the finish is long and lingering.

Langmeil Orphan Bank Shiraz

Full bodied yet velvety texture with plums and raspberries dominating. Hints of sweet spice, black olive pepper add to the complexity.

Petaluma Coonawarra Red Blend

This Cabernet Merlot is a dark purple with red and dark berries on the nose along with the famous Coonawarra mint. The palate shows complex dark berries with dark chocolate and cedar. the wine has a long finish with sea spray notes which compliment the fine grained tannins and persistent fruit.

Wynns Michael Shiraz

Wynns Michael Shiraz is a 'best-of-vintage' Shiraz from Wynns vineyard sites in Coonawarra and is named after David Wynn's youngest son. Made in the years that best show Coonawarra's unique terroir, this latest release displays the qualities that have made the 'Michael' one of the most highly regarded of all Australian Shiraz with aromas of red currants, cherries and raspberry that mesh every so well with the olive and white spice characters. The palate follows with an elegant structure bursting with dark brooding spice and succulent ripe tannins.
