Water Wheel Shiraz
Water Wheel is a historic winery located in the traditional wine region of Bendigo in central Victoria. Winemaker Peter Cumming continually produces a Shiraz with aromas of ripe berries, white pepper and chocolate that are also reflected on the palate which also displays attractive regional and varietal character. The depth of fruit and oak balance is excellent. Always a consistent performer, Water Wheel Shiraz is not only enjoyable upon release but is a reliable medium-term cellaring option.

Elio Altare Larigi
ELIO ALTARE Larigi, Langhe DOC The Elio Altare Langhe Larigi comes from the La Morra region. Only 200-250 dozen bottles are produced each year from Nebbiolo vines planted in 1948 on south and south-east facing slopes. The vineyard is farmed organically, but along traditional lines. In the winery only indigenous yeasts are used and the wine is macerated on skins for 3-4 days in temperature-controlled rotary fermenters. It is matured for 18 months in new French barriques before bottling. The Elio Altare Larigi shows a dense, purple-red colour and intense, persistent aromas of aromas of small red fruits. The palate is typically warm, soft and intense, with red berry flavours, silky tannins and balanced acidity.
Elio Altare La Villa Rosso
ELIO ALTARE La Villa Rosso, Langhe DOC The Elio Altare Langhe La Villa comes from the La Morra sub-region. Only 200-250 dozen bottles are produced each year from Nebbiolo and Barbera grapes planted on south-east facing slopes. The vineyard, on clay and tufa stone soils, is farmed organically, but along traditional lines. The grapes are crushed and then macerated on skins for 3-4 days in temperature-controlled rotary fermenters before fermentation using indigenous yeasts. The wine is matured for 18 months in new French oak barriques before bottling unfined and unfiltered. The Elio Altare La Villa shows an intense, ruby-red colour and equally intense aromas of plums and berries, plus rose petals. The palate typically shows fresh red fruits, balanced tannins and attractive acidity boosted by the Barbera component.
