Domaine Anita Moulin à Vent Très Vieille Vigne
Très Vielle Vigne translates to “ancient vines”- in the case of this wine, we’re talking 80 years old. Sitting on a steep southeast-facing slope with the trademark granitic soils of Beaujolais, these vines deliver on concentration and structure. The aspect is perfect for gentle morning ripening, and the granite lends energy to the wine. This wine is the pride of the Domaine, with deep and dark flavours and unending complexity to discover. Despite the usual thought that Beajoulais can’t age, this wine still has years of delight under the cork- particularly from the 2020 vintage. This is modern Beajoulais at its best.
Otronia 45 Rugientes Merlot
Magarey Lane Coonawarra Merlot
This Merlot is medium to full bodied, displaying bold notes of black dark cherry and plum. The palate is lengthy and generous, followed by layers of vanilla bean and hints of mocha to finish.
Devitt & Moore Coonawarra William Pile Merlot
This Merlot is a medium bodied style with abundant ripe red berry fruit flavours displayed on a rich round mid palate. The red currant, plum flavours integrate well with subtle oak characters creating a balanced wine.
La Torre Macchione IGT Rosso Toscano
A super Tuscan. Deep ruby red with violet reflections. Intense on the nose, with hints of dark pulp fruit, such as blackberry and plum, which blend harmoniously with the spicy tones of pepper and tobacco. The mouth is clean, soft and enveloping, with well-present but never annoying tannins. Excellent persistence. Perfect with meat or mushroom-based pasta or rice dishes.
