Vinification is simple and centred around preserving the delicacy, freshness and vitality found in early picked old vine fruit. This Spinifex Rose consists of Grenache (52%), Cinsault (30 %), Mataro (14%) and Ugni blanc (4%). Bunches from mature (averaging 65 years of age) dry drown vineyards are hand harvested and the crushed and left to macerate for between 4 and 48 hrs prior to pressing.

Turkey Flat Rosé is a blend of four varieties in which each adds it's own particular character. Dominated by Grenache, this revolutionary Rosé has cherry, strawberry and herbal notes with fresh acidity and just the right amount of fresh fruit sweetness to carry it off. Perfect on it's own or matched with a plate of freshly barbecued prawns.

Deep Woods Estate Harmony Rosé continues a run of excellent vintages, combining freshness and lightness that is satisfying and simply mouth-watering. Pale pink colour with salmon hues, a wild strawberry nose with a hint of lifted violet notes. Palate is dry, with well-balanced acidity displaying raspberry and strawberry fruit flavours and a beautifully persistent finish.

One of the earliest and most condensed in history thanks largely to a dry and warm growing season. A very wet July was followed by some of the driest spring months on record, led to some great flavour and colour development and the resulting wines are packed with delicious ripe flavours.

Mrs Wigley was not the wife of Wirra Wirra founder, Robert Strangways Wigley, but in fact a neighbouring cat that took up residence in the winery open top fermenters. The rosé show aromas of fresh strawberry and cherry and a crisp palate of light spice and a lingering dry finish.

Grenache has long been a stalwart of the South Australian wine scene and Penfolds have been blending Grenache with Shiraz since the 1950's. Recent years has seen a growing trend for the luscious perfumed styles like those emanating out of the northern Rhône and the Bin 138 produces a brilliant example. A more serious wine from the Southern Rhone. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Cinsault roots grow in reddish, brown soils through limestone and reach deep, deep down. Vinification is traditional in concrete vats with daily pumping over, followed with ageing for six months in old large foudre, then bottled without fining and no filtration. The resulting wine is a triumph and a jewel in the crown for the Rhone.
