Lost Wolf Hard Semillon

This is fun winemaking at it best. A little soak of the juice on skins, a press in the basket press and let the ferment get going. The ferment was stopped by fortification with Brandy Spirit to leave a sweat’ish wine that is now stored in ex Australian Whisky barrels. The wine will continue to evolve the barrel developing complexity from the wood and previous contents. Best fresh from the barrel, it is bottled as required. Each label has the date of bottling hand written on it. This is a single vintage fortified.

Mystery Wrattonbully Cabernet Blend Deal No. 5901

Is a cracker, but an idiosyncratic wine; much in the same way as Bordeaux’s Château Tertre Roteboeuf. It’s the type of claret style that would win a prize in the Australian Burgundy classes of yore. Voluminous and inky deep, it show lifted cassis, cedar, dried apricot, hint wood varnish aromas and flavours, fine supple/slinky texturesand well-integrated roasted chestnut notes. This is a terrific ‘vin de garde’ with all the elements for long term ageing. A high water mark for Terre à Terre.

Belhaven Scottish Ale

Mystery Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon Deal No. 4308

Intense purple, with great depth of colour. An alluring and strong bouquet of cassis, coffee bean, tobacco leaf and dark mint chocolate. Background aromas of green leaf providing classical notes of powerful Cabernet characters. Blackcurrant, plum and cinnamon feature here, with hints of red fruits and oak usage adding complexity. Beautifully balanced with firm tannins and a graceful, persistent finish.

Highgate Barrel Selection Chardonnay

Marani Ojaleshi

Light crimson in colour, reminiscent of a delicate ruby gemstone, highlighting its youthful vibrancy and clarity. The nose shows ripe cherries and strawberries with subtle hints of rose petals. On the palate, the bright cherry and strawberry notes are lifted by gentle herbal nuances that add depth and complexity. Spicy undertones emerge through the finish, bringing contrast and rounding out the flavour profile.
