Robert O'Callaghan's Rockford Basket Press Shiraz is one of the Barossa Valley's most important wines. It entered Langton's Classification of Australian Wine in 2000 and is one of 21 wines in the 1st Classified tier today. It is sold almost exclusively to Rockford's own mailing list customers and is rarely made available to the retail market. Rockford’s squat, high–shouldered brown bottle - reminiscent of 1940s red wine packaging - is instantly recognisable. Basket Press manages to combine the concentration and power of the traditional Barossa Shiraz style of the 1950s and '60s with the supple freshness of contemporary winemaking. It has achieved its high status in a relatively short time: the first vintage was 1984.

Barokes Bubbly Cabernet Shiraz Merlot Bin 171 displays elegant mouth sweetness from the Cabernet, added depth from the Shiraz and a rich softness from the Cabernet and Merlot. The nose provides plenty of character, enticing chocolate aromas, while the sparkle adds a extra kick.

The Cleanskins CR01 Shiraz is a soft, voluptuous and well rounded Shiraz with its ripe fruit aromas and fine tannins that leave a soft, smooth finish on the palate.

Chancellor & Co Shiraz is a wonderful example of flavourome, rich and ripe Shiraz at a great and affordable price. Nice flavours of red cherry with a lick of black pepper all rounded off with a soft, mellow finish.

Barokes Cabernet Shiraz Bin 121 displays red and crimson colours. A rich mouth feel is provided by the shiraz, with a firm finish of the cabernet. There are ripe aromas on the nose with a subtle hint of oak.

Rich dark purple with a crimson hue in colour. Intense dark fruit aromas of plum, and forest berries with hints of spice and vanilla. Rich and smooth with lashes of dense sweet fruit and soft tannins.
