Te Tera Pinot Gris

Te Tera Pinot Gris has lifted aromatic characters of ripe pear and spice together with ginger and floral notes in the background. On the palate the textural elements come to the fore, imparting pithy rich fruit that is beautifully balanced against a small amount of residual sugar. The result is a luscious, utterly drinkable, soft style Pinot Gris.

Scorpo Bestia Pinot Grigio on Skins

Attractive coppery pink in the glass. The nose has notes of musk, candied orange peel, fresh blood orange, sour cherry, fresh herbs and a slight Campari twist. Bitter-edged on the palate with that blood orange note, with musky pear, peach and strawberry fruit. It has a soft phenolic texture along with zesty tannins that add a pleasant grip. Finishes dry, clean and tangy. Engaging and moreish, with impressive finesse for this style of wine, and with a good volume of fresh fruit to balance the phenolic and savoury skinsy elements.

Weathercraft Beechworth Pinot Gris

Crafted from 100% Beechworth fruit, with wild yeast fermentation and extended lees contact to enhance texture and mouthfeel. Some casual time in (seasoned) oak imbues savouriness and an added layer of complexity to the wine. The result is a zesty, dry Gris that is enjoyably easy to drink any time of year.

Kumeu River Pinot Gris

This is a very fine Gris. Its elegant nose shows hints of citrus, grapefruit, musk and apricot while on the palate the wine is structured and remarkably tight with mineral characteristics supporting rich, tropical fruit. The acid is very fresh and the length impeccable.

The fruit was entirely hand-harvested and allowed 6 hours skin contact in the press before fermentation was carried out at cool temperatures to maximise fruit expression. This wine shows all the hallmarks of easy-going, classic Italian Pinot Grigio; subtle grapefruit and underlying floral and spice notes on the nose followed by citrus and peach flavours bound together by a tight minerality.

The cool nights here allow the fruit to reach optimum ripeness whilst retaining an elegant balance between flavour, alcohol and acidity. This wine by Pacha Mama underwent lees stirring while in barrel, resulting in a buttery richness and complexity that sets the pinot gris style apart from the tighter, more acidic Pinot Grigio. Rich and inviting nose with white musk, fresh quince and honeysuckle. A generous and textural palate, with flavours of crýme brulee, lemon zest and musk, balanced by refreshing acidity and a satisfying, clean finish.
