Displaying complex aromas of strawberries and cream with hints of forest floor. The palate is seamless and elegant. Red fruits with enticing gamey characters swirl within layers of mushroom and notes of fresh herbs. The French oak adds ample but delicate tannins delivering a generous delightful length. Savour on its own or enjoy as an outstanding accompaniment to a duck or game dish, alternatively stuffed wild mushrooms as a vegetarian option.

Lingo - Say it with confidence.This wine may be hard to pronounce, but the flavour rolls across the tongue. This Nebbiolo ( Neh-Bee-Ow-Low) provides a rustic, savoury palate, with delicious red fruit flavours and firm tannins.

New to the herd is our Premium Pinot that hails from the Adelaide Hills. Vibrant with dark cherry and hints of briar with a hint of spicy oak. The palate is poised, polished and precise with good complexity and concentration.

Shows more traditional Australian brooding dark fruit character of blackcurrant, stewed cherry and satsuma plum on a backing of liquorice, spice and smoky, bacony oak. Black pepper is infused through the tannin, lending a distinctly savoury edge to the finish. Length is excellent. Luxury is affordable. The Lane Vineyard, near Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills, is 400 metres above sea level. Shaped by this altitude and southerly latitudes the cooler climate is ideal for growing grapes destined to become wines of distinction, wines with impressive structure, minerality and natural acidity. North facing single vineyard sites maximize autumn sunlight for later ripening varietals, South facing sites favor aromatic whites and sparkling wines. Significant diurnal temperature variation during grape ripening is a distinguishing feature of this vineyard. Longer sunlight hours and temperate daytime temperatures contribute to intense fruit flavours while the sudden fall in evening temperature preserves natural acidity and structure.

Tim Knappstein became a third generation vigneron when he commenced his career in the family company, Stanley Wines, making his first wine in 1966, after graduating from the Roseworthy College Oenology course. The Middle Hill Shiraz is sourced from the middle hill of the K1 vineyard, a picturesque sandstone ridge producing elegant, spicy, cool climate style Shiraz. The nose offers typical cool climate Shiraz aromas of red cherries and subtle spices, including cloves and white pepper. The palate is medium-bodied and complex with red plums, spice and a hint of apricot, followed by a grippy finish.
