Avancé is the first red from Glaetzer-Dixon to advance from barrel to bottle each season. Working and travelling through many wine-making regions on the European Continent gave Nick, their wine maker, insight into the lighter wine styles, keenly sought after by the local village people for their fresh fruit driven flavours.

The aromatics are alive with poached pear, guava, peach and spice. The palate is expressive with a textural mouth feel and great length of flavour. A classic natural acid line retains balance and structure, finishing with a light spice.

We are very proud to have a Chromy exclusive, as Tasmania’s highly celebrated wines almost never leave the state! This rather regal Pinot Noir takes its name from the source of its premium fruit – the Marchington Vineyard, planted on the Marchington estate, by a man called John Smith, the alleged illegitimate son of a King of England, shipped to Tasmania in the 1800s. In memory of Ian ”Lee” Patrick Carr, an outstanding dad, friend and viticulturist. This unblended single origin Pinot Noir was harvested from one manually maintained vineyard block of the family estate, 33 years after planting. Matured in French oak. Bursting aromas of dark berries, cherries and orange zest. Silky smooth and lively acid, dried herbs and red currant. Match with grilled meat or strong cheese.

Harvested from 2 blocks close to the original homestead of the estate ... this Cabernet Sauvignon shows all the qualities of a cool climate wine from a mature vineyard. Aged in French oak. Flavours of black currant, cigar leaf, plum, black cherry and green pepper perfectly accompany food with intense flavours like grilled meat or strong cheese.

Penfolds Maxs Pinot Noir is a tribute to former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert 1948 - 1975, a legend in Penfolds history. Enticing aromatics, with exotic fruits of the forest leaping from the glass. Raspberry, black cherry, olive tapenade and oolong tea are framed by a subtle char-toast character. Hints of sea spray and a distinct Campari note linger.

The palate for this Dalrymple Pinot Noir has immediate appeal of sweet red fruits, balanced with a tight tannin structure and a long savoury finish. The presence of dried Italian herbs and floral rose notes on the nose, lift and add to the complexity.
