Teusner Righteous FG Shiraz

Righteous to be called a true Barossa Shiraz; Teusner FG Shiraz is bold, packed with intense black fruits, mocha and sweet spices on the nose. Great balance in oak use, giving the wine structured tannins and extra vanilla oak flavour as the back bone on the palate. Hand picked grapes from one of the oldest vines in Barossa. This is certainly one of those wines that could impress!

Penfolds Max's Shiraz (6 )

Penfolds Max’s Shiraz is a tribute to former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert 1948-1975, a legend in Penfolds history. Max’s constant pursuit of excellence paved the way for those who followed in his footsteps and also allowed the status and heritage of Penfolds to grow. A contemporary offering of South Australian Shiraz, this release provides a fruit-driven wine which is generous in flavour and persistent across the palate.

The Standish Lamella Shiraz

Product Description: The pinnacle of Eden Valley Shiraz, forged from legacy and precision. Lamella is the flagship Shiraz from Dan Standish, a sixth-generation Barossan and one of Australia’s most exacting winemakers. Sourced exclusively from the Angas family vineyard at Hutton Vale Farm in Eden Valley, the fruit comes from vines planted in the early 1960s using cuttings from the famed Mt Edelstone vineyard. This site, perched between Mt Edelstone and Hill of Grace, is one of the most prized in the country—and Lamella is its purest expression. Crafted entirely from whole bunches and fermented in small open oak vats, the 2021 vintage shows remarkable finesse and structure. Cool conditions delivered a wine of rare clarity and poise: jasmine tea, graphite, bergamot, and star anise float above layers of pomegranate, sage, and black tea. Each parcel is vinified separately, allowing Dan to make ruthless selections—up to 80% of fruit can be declassified—ensuring only the most compelling barrels are bottled. This is a wine of grand architecture and long cellaring potential. Best from 2027, but its dense core of black fruits, spice and fine-grained tannin will carry it through to 2043 with ease. Pair it with chargrilled meats, aged cheeses, or nothing at all—Lamella can speak for itself. Tasting Notes NOSE – Exotic spice and florals Jasmine tea, bergamot and graphite rise from the glass with raspberry, star anise and citrus blossom. PALATE – Structured and textural Sage, pomegranate and black tea wrapped around blue and black fruits, with a vital mineral edge. FINISH – Persistent and poised Skin and stalk tannins melt into the fruit; long, savoury and detailed to the last note. Wolf Blass Platinum Label Shiraz

Back in 1998 Chief Winemaker, Chris Hatcher, decided it was time to take Wolf Blass into the modern world and the result was a single varietal Shiraz that was 100% aged in French Oak, unlike their famous flagship the Black Label which is a blend and aged in American Oak. A wonderful contemporary version of Wolf Blass that is a cavalcade of rich blueberry, blackberry and complex elements of dark chocolate and warm spice. Superbly long on the palate with an obvious hint to a long future in the cellar.

Rockford Black Sparkling Shiraz - Disgorged

Barossa Valley legends, Rockford, tend their hand here to producing one of the world's unique wine styles, a sparkling Shiraz. Inspired by a sparkling Burgundy Rocky O'Callaghan found in his father's cellar at Seppelt when he was a child and when working with Colin Preece in Rutherglen, the man who responsible for the grand style. Rockford take this truly Australian wine to a new height with the 2011 discorged Black Shiraz that will live for quite sometime in your cellar and will reward those in spades who have the patience.

Sorby Adams The Thing Shiraz

The Thing range is Sorby Adams' flagship Shiraz. It is sourced from a vineyard above sea level in Eden Valley. The low-yeielding crops produced wines that had rich aromas of ripe plums, black fruits and wild cherry with hints of warm spices and vanilla oak. A beautifully balanced wine with a length finish.

Head The Brunette Shiraz

Colour is deep red. The nose shows aniseed, tar, FruChocs and spicy oak. The fine palate entry has mulberry, cranberry, aniseed and liquorice flowing delicately with Rhone-like spicy, chewy, savoury tannins.

The Standish Wine Company The Standish Single Vineyard Shiraz

Langton's Classification: Excellent

Sourced from the Standish Family Vineyard Siegersdorf Road, Vine Vale, Barossa Valley. Planted on own roots in 1912. Dense, latent and strapping, this flaunts the flawless purity that can be leached from the famed sandy flints of Vine Vale. Tightly wound with its cards close to the vest, deep-set aromatics of coal, pressed currant and black truffle are foiled by redolent tones of tilled soil, beef broth and slow roasted meats. Dark and brooding with immense concentration, persistence and energy it is somewhat of a heroic style but is gently laced with a long fine cloak of silken tannin.
