A savoury spicy blend aged in seasoned oak. The nose shows plum, raspberry and tarry aromas and the medium bodied palate displays blackberry licorice and rich earthy flavours with fine, supple tannins.

Torbreck The Steading is a decadent blend of three traditional Barossa varieties. Grenache and Mataro from old bush vines provide wonderful richness and fruit flavours with only free run Shiraz used to allow the Grenache to shine through.

Marco Cirillo, the guru of Grenache. A true artisan, Marco is the custodian of some of oldest Grenache vines in the world and remarkably he tends to each of the old, gnarly bush vines by hand, some standing 6-feet tall! The resulting Grenache that makes The Vincent has beautiful, fine grained tannin along with fruit that is remarkably vibrant and appealing to the palate.

Grenache has long been a stalwart of the South Australian wine scene and Penfolds have been blending Grenache with Shiraz since the 1950's. Recent years has seen a growing trend for the luscious perfumed styles like those emanating out of the northern Rhône and the Bin 138 produces a brilliant example. The Torbreck Les Amis Grenache is aged for 18 months in new oak and is a remarkably fragrant wine that shows abundant aromas of spice, cherry and wild raspberry. Textured and plush on the palate, it evolves into layers of blackberry and red currants with firm, ripe tannins. David Powell continues to lead this formidable Barossa wine estate to truly remarkable heights.

A myriad of mulberry, wild thyme and enticing savoury undertones are interwoven with layers of ripe summer berries. The palate displays both generosity and restraint, with plump and supple tannins that are supported by an amalgam of summer ripened plums.

GSM- Block 178- showcases the Barossa richness of Grenache with full middle palate of Shiraz and the finish of Mataro (Mouvedre). Full bodied, old vines from selected vineyards add depth, structure and great appreciation to the blend of three famous varieties. Ripe robust fruites of prune and plum. Shiraz 95% and 5 % Grenache, offers a bold and robust wine. With aromas of spices of nutmeg, cloves. Black coffee and dark organic chocolate notes integrated with strewed plums and dates. Deep crimson red. Essence of pure red fruit nose. Pomegranate, spice, fennel bush, liquored and glacéed red cherry. Only medium bodied but round, plump, sweet core of red fruits and profoundly textured mouthfeel. An effortless wine.
