An authentic style of Tempranillo with well resolved tannins and great length of flavour. Some new American oak maturation has imparted a rich toasty vanillin oak note to balance the spicy cherry fruit and earthy flavours of the variety.

The wine is fermented and aged for 5 months in French Oak Barrels, giving an exciting complexity and a nice body with unusual aromas that include red fruits like strawberry, raspberry, cherry and smoky notes as well as spices typical from French oak.In mouth it has a rich texture, it's rounded, with excellent acidity, structure and flavour leaving a long finish. All these qualities will improve with a period of bottle-ageing, so if you like saving your bottle for later, this is also your kind of wine.

This Tempranillo was matured in selected oak for 12 months to produce exceptional quality. The wine displays concentrate fruity aromas and flavours of cherry and with hints of chocolate which is enhanced as the wine is allowed to breathe; complimenting a rich lasting finish.

Malolactic fermentation took place in Tronçais French oak barrels. Aged for 16 months in Tronçais oak barrels and matured for 8 months in concrete tanks. Aged in bottle for 22 months. Tasting notes. Colour: Very bright, ripe cherry red with a reddish rim. NOSE: Aromas of ripe red fruit with floral hints of violets, blended with notes of oak, such as spice, cinnamon and a touch of minerality. Mouth: Expressive and intense, very fruity and balsamic on the aftertaste, with a long-lasting, persistent finish. Pairing: Stews, spicy meat and fish dishes, meat carpaccios, smoked dishes and cured cheeses.
