The unmistakable fruity aroma of BOVIN Rhein Riesling is typical of the variety and has a distinctive green edge. This wine is pale yellow in colour with a light green hue. This wine from Vickery displays hallmark Watervale aromas showing pure Riesling characteristics of fresh lemon-lime citrus, floral honeysuckle and a creamy richness. The flavours are fresh lemon citrus, with soft mineral acidity supported by the persistent and mouth-watering finish. An absolute delight to drink in its first flush of youth, but will intrigue and reward with additional complexity upon cellaring for 5-20 years.

Tom previously honed his skills completing vintages in California, Bordeaux and the Hunter Valley. Given how well reviewed this riesling was, we can safely say hes doing an excellent job producing absolutely stunning cool climate wines. Fortunately for us and thanks to Toms efforts, you wont have to brave the wild to sample this award winner.

Conceived as a white wine development program, the Bin 51 Riesling soon became one of Penfolds' star performers. Eden Valley is an obvious choice of region for Riesling due to the higher altitude and cool climate. The wine offers delicate aromas of fresh cut apples and pears with a twist of lemon and minerality towards the end. A great deal of fruits and acidity makes for an interesting white wine with propensity to age gracefully if carefully cellared.

The colour of gold struck through with green, this Riesling shows classic lime and mineral aromas with a touch of gooseberry. Rich and full-bodied, the citrus and tropical fruit flavours are underpinned by crisp acidity.
