House of Arras Grand Vintage is at the pinnacle of Australian sparkling wine! The fruit is sourced from the cool climate region of Tasmania where Ed Carr (Gourmet Wine Traveller Winemaker of the Year 2011) and his team produce an outstanding wine of incredible complexity and character resulting from extended maturation on yeast lees.

Pinot noir sourced from the Coal River and Derwent valleys in Tasmania and the Upper Yarra Valley in Victoria. Bright ruby with ripe dark and red cherry fruits, raspberry coulis and wild strawberry with hints of leaf litter, spice, softly spoken vanillin oak, char siu, mushroom broth, amaro herbs and wildflowers. Graceful and pure with excellent tension between fruit and mineral acidity, fading off slowly in a fan of spiced red fruits.

Veuve Clicquot is widely regarded as one of the great Champagne houses. A pioneer in Champagne, Madame Clicquot's legacy can still be tasted in every bottle of Veuve. The Vintage by Veuve is a typically generous and full-bodied style of Champagne with all the toastiness and notes of brioche lover of Veuve have come to expect.

The guiding principles of blending are the achievement of harmony and consistency. The White Foil blend is traditionally composed from around 80 still base wines, drawn from different vineyard sites (crus), grape varieties and vintage years. The blend contains approximately one third of each three grape varieties of Champagne. Pinot Noir contributes body, depth of character and life extending tannins, Pinot Meunier adds youthful freshness, vigour and plump fruit character while Chardonnay gibes lightness, elegance and firmness.

Lanson has all the history and experience of 250 years behind it to produce this truly remarkable vintage Champagne that delivers more for your dollar than any other vintage Champagne on the shelves. Wonderful linear acidity that is as taut as a high-wire complimented by a rush of citrus blossom. Remarkable.

Bright light golden color with a vivid mousse. Rather complex and layered nose, vinous with (perhaps oak) roasted hazelnut, yellow fruit, apricot, fresh butter and brioche, rather white burgundy like on the nose. The palate is well-built with a bright freshness and layers of ripe stone fruit underlined by pastry notes and fresh butter with a long and lingering finish. Nice. Bright light golden colour. High intensity and fine purity on the nose with youthful stone fruit like apricot, peach with ripe citrus, crushed nuts and some autolytic or buttery hints. The palate is well-balanced in its bone dry style, very fresh and salivating with good extract, fresh yellow fruit, citrus, some nutty notes and a long persistence. Very good. Penfolds St Henri is one of Australia's greatest red wines. The Shiraz for St Henri is selected for subtlety and elegance and the finished wine has the structure complexity for extended bottle maturation. The 1991 is a classic St Henri vintage that is good to drink until 2022.
