After 30 years of maturation, the Charles Reuben Estate vineyard expanded in 2019 with the addition of a distillery, embarking on a new journey with spirits. The new venture led to the creation of this Tasmanian vintage fortified wine, crafted with premium grape spirit. The Estate’s vineyard consistently produces sought-after, full-bodied, deep dark red Pinot Noir grapes. The result is a well balanced, smooth, and richly charactered fortified wine, bursting with intense dark berry flavours. True to its origins, this wine is made without any artificial colouring or flavouring.

House of Arras Grand Vintage is at the pinnacle of Australian sparkling wine! The fruit is sourced from the cool climate region of Tasmania where Ed Carr (Gourmet Wine Traveller Winemaker of the Year 2011) and his team produce an outstanding wine of incredible complexity and character resulting from extended maturation on yeast lees. Outstanding.

Fermented, aged and released in the same magnum bottle, only fruit from 7 Grand Cru vineyards is used to craft a blend of equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which spends over 4 years ageing on lees plus 6 months post disgorgement. Further gentle ageing takes place until deemed ready for release by the Cellar Master. It displays a multitude of citrus, white and red fruits, linked by a common thread of minerality producing a mature complexity, elegance and length.

Pinot noir sourced from the Coal River and Derwent valleys in Tasmania and the Upper Yarra Valley in Victoria. Bright ruby with ripe dark and red cherry fruits, raspberry coulis and wild strawberry with hints of leaf litter, spice, softly spoken vanillin oak, char siu, mushroom broth, amaro herbs and wildflowers. Graceful and pure with excellent tension between fruit and mineral acidity, fading off slowly in a fan of spiced red fruits.

Champagne of this quality is amazing. Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut is vibrant with crisp green apple and citrus flavours on the palate. A perfect balance between the acidity and the delicate bubbles, giving it an amazing length.

Chamapagne Rosé is a true delight to the senses and Billecart-Salmon rightly takes its place in the top echelon. A vibrant Salmon pink colour greets the glass, with a long, smooth, delicate, elegant and refined palate to follow. Without the price tag that others of this quality demand, this is a Champagne that all must enjoy at least once.

Veuve Clicquot has been producing fine quality Champagne since it was founded in 1772. In 1810, Madame Clicquot broke new ground by creating the first vintage Champagne, made of grapes from one single harvest. Veuve's non vintage is consistently rated in the top handful of NV Champagnes and delivers a powerful bubbly with a rich mouthfeel. The Ponsardin vintage is elegant with generous freshness and the Pinot Noir lends body to a very lively wine. On the palate there's layers of floral and fruity complexity that flows into a remarkably long and powerful finish.

The incredibly fine bead draws your attention. Tight and persistent classically formed bubbles. The Taittinger Champagne house in Rheims was founded in 1734, and this recent, fine-bubbled descendant echoes that distinguished history. The brilliant body is golden yellow in colour. The bubbles are fine, while the foam is discreet yet lingering. The nose, very open and expressive, delivers aromas of fruit and brioche. It also gives off the fragrance of peach, white flowers (hawthorn, acacia) and vanilla pod. The entry onto the palate is lively, fresh and in total harmony. This is a delicate wine with flavours of fresh fruit and honey. Taittinger Brut Réserve, which acquires its maturity during three and four years ageing in the cellar, offers excellent aromatic potential.
