2013 Wynns Coonawarra Estate Black Label Old Vines Shiraz. Deep purple, with a bright purple hue. Concentrated notes of dark cherry and blood plums, followed by raspberry, bay leaf and lavender. Dark and focused, filled with juicy and vibrant fruit. Blood plum and magnolia on the mid palate. This iconic Australian label is remarkably consistent. The 2012 offers juicy boysenberry, spice and meaty touches, and a medium-bodied, soft, juicy mouthful is trimmed in ripe tannins.All of our Museum Release wines are kept in a special vault with an environment that is both temperature and humidity controlled. The temperature is set to a constant 14 degrees – ideal for maturing wine. They are then tested regularly throughout the year, with each wine documented, marked for when it should be checked again and released at the optimal drinking age.

Cabernet Sauvignon is Coonawarra's pre-eminent grape variety. Our 2019 vintage is well structured with a palate of rich ripe grape tannins, supported with French oak frame-work. Cassis and plum, cigar box and cocoa. Great presence and complexity.

Our Two Blocks Shiraz was matured in a combination of new American & second use French oak for 24 months. This gives the wine structure, complexity and a lift of chocolate oak flavour. The finish is smooth and lingering. Cellar for another 5-10 years to see the wine soften and develop further complexity. Winemaker’S Note: 2017 was a great year for both freshness of fruit and balance of spice and elegant tannins. This Shiraz is a great example of our cool climate style, being approachable and elegant with just a touch of oak. Vintage Note: A cool growing season and above average rainfall lead to a mild growing season that presented some challenges towards the end of harvest. Fortunately the rain cleared enough for the Shiraz to ripen and be picked just in time. It was the stand out variety of the season with the balance of spice and ripeness returning to a more traditional style cool climate wine.
