Riddoch became an influential figure, establishing the Coonawarra Fruit Colony.This buoyant Coonawarra Sparkling Shiraz is typified by ample blackberry, mulberry, dark chocolate aromas and flavours, seductive panforte, smooth velvety textures, savoury spice and fine persistent bubbles. Wynns Coonawarra Estate Shiraz reflects its terra rossa origins and enduring pedigree. After four years of ageing, the wine shows greater harmony and polish, with its structure and balance reinforcing its reputation as a reliably cellar-worthy classic that continues to reward patience.

The Cigar the name coined by Coonawarra Vignerons to describe the unique cigar-shaped strip of rich red terra rossa soil. This wine is from the famous strip, the bouquet shows bright cherry, chocolate and musk fruit aromas supported by savoury cedar oak. The palate is vibrant with blueberries and rhubarb balanced by choc-mint with the tannins having mouth-filling praline texture. The finish is long and lingering.

Appears dark red with deep purple hues. Showing a lifted perfumed nose of blackcurrant and cassis fruit and followed by a chocolate oak a hint of mint and enticing spice character. The palate shows dark berry fruit flavours upfront with hints of dried herbs and red florals. Supple varietal tannins provide a classical framework and weight to the wine which finishes with integrated fruit and oak driving a long finish. Perfect with roast lamb and mint sauce.

Tucked away in the cellar of many budding wine collectors, Wynns Shiraz has all the structure and pedigree of some of its higher priced brothers and sisters. Rich varietal characters of plum, spice and pepper are woven through the minty regional notes and framed by fine, firm tannins.

Wynns 'Red Stripe' Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot continues to be a market leader and beacon for quality wine at an affordable price. Cabernet brings cassis and mint, while spice and plummy fruit is provided by the Shiraz and Merlot. Drink now or cellar for a year or two.
