Church Block first appeared back in 1972 under the watchful eye of Greg Trott and was taken by one of the original vineyards that ran alongside the small Bethany Church, across the road from Wirra Wirra's old ironstone cellars. Over the last 4 decades, it has become one of Australia's favourites. The 2005 Church Block is showing just what a little patience can do. After six years, the velvet texture is the dominant feature with integrated tannin taking a backseat.

Michel Chapoutier has been able to do it again! A savoury masterpiece from the southern Rhône appellation of Luberon. A spicy blend of Grenache and Syrah that displays intense varietal characters of nutmeg and black pepper. The palate, while medium-bodied, is quite forceful with robust flavours of blueberry and blackberry fruits. Great use of older oak has also assisted this Luberon be a brilliant follow on from the every popular Chapoutier Côteaux-du-Tricastin.

Winemaker Kevin Mitchell has set a new benchmark for Clare Valley Shiraz. A nose of stewed plum and spice followed by generosity on the palate, all at a price that delivers great value for money.

Château Tanunda Chorus GSM has lifted aromas of blackberry, black cherry and raspberry area accompanied by spicy, dark berry fruits and white pepper on the palate. The finish is long with fine-grained tannins from two years' maturation in a combination of new and seasoned American and French oak barrels. Although drinking well now the wine will benefit from medium-term cellaring.

Picked from selected premium vineyards for optimum quality, this wine is deep purple in colour with aromas of dark cherry & raspberry. Since 2005, it has returned to being a family owned and run winery, with David and Jenni Brown overseeing its success. With Phil Lehmann, the son of Peter Lehmann, as chief winemaker, they are going from strength-to-strength. High Eden’s chilly heights lead to harvests up to a month later than those in neighbouring Eden Valley. The result is gorgeous Cabernet like this, full of dark fruit and chocolate.

19 Crimes Shiraz is full and round on the palate with a subtle sweetness giving a rich and round mouth feel. The vanilla aromatics carry through on the palate and compliment subtle flavours of raspberries, dark plums, and chocolate leading to a lingering finish.
