Altan is a unique wine that is characterized by dominant aromas of pear and peach, while in the background the herbal notes of elderberry, basil and aromatic herbs gently appear. The taste accompanies the smell and is quite complex. It has a pronounced body and an excellent balance of acids, which makes this wine refreshing. The wine stays in the mouth for a long time, leaving a pleasant feeling of fullness and harmony. We recommend that it be consumed chilled at a temperature of 8-10

Fresh from Henschke's Littlehampton site in the Adelaide Hills, there are little squeaks of telltale bronze tones around the edges, then pears and almonds before a scoop of lychees and a mouth full of bright acids and herbal aromatics lolling around within its typical viscosity.

Pale light yellow colour, delicate and complex bouquet with fruity notes that remind of peach, green apple with second notes of acacia and lilac. The grapes for this wine come from the Belford vineyard owned by the Elliott family, situated 15km north/north-west of the Tyrrells winery. The grapes were handpicked then lightly crushed before a relatively cool fermentation in stainless steel. After a short period on gross lees, the wine was racked and left to mature in stainless steel until bottling. The last of the semillon picked, this wine has a fuller palate commonly associated with the Belford vineyard, with great fruit intensity and a slightly higher acid intensity than normal years due to the cooler growing conditions.
