Maison Barboulot Pinot Noir is an exquisitely simple red, ideal for enjoying on quiet nights in on the couch. Enjoy soft flavours of ripe red berries and plump cherries with a smattering of spice and the barest hint of liquorice. Pair with hearty, dishes like roast duck or beef bourguignon.

The wine is light to medium bodied, supple and textured – red berry fruits follow on from the nose. The palate reflects the warm vintage conditions – with fine grained, structural tannins preceding a long cherry, earthy finish.

From Kate Goodman's team, who already bring us the wonderful Punt Rd range, this second label perpetuates their well deserved reputation. This is a soft, fruit driven Pinot from sites around the Yarra Valley. It offers great complexity at this price.

Delicate colour. Aromas of lifted raspberry, redcurrant and cranberry fruit float across underlying earth and spice notes. The palate is fine and delicate but still well defined and structured. More cranberry and redcurrant characters are on show here too. There is some gentle oak influence adding tannin and complexity.
