The fruit for this refined and subtle wine was sourced from sloping vineyards located on the foothills of the cooler Pyrenees and Cevennes mountains, in the South of France where the soils are heavy in limestone - perfect for the delicate Pinot Noir. It was aged for 6 months in French oak and bottled early in order to capture the grapes primary flavors.Refreshing and subtle aromas of ripe raspberries and cranberries with hints of plum and a touch of toast are evident on the nose. This Pinot Noir comes from French vineyards on clay-limestone soils. The climate is hot with maritime influences (cold and humid nights) and therefore, the vines never miss water. The vines are cultivated with the greatest care to preserve Mother Nature and the yields are low. This wine is produced from organically grown grapes (chemical pesticides or fertilizers are strictly forbidden in the vineyards) and is certified by ECOCERT. It displays a lovely crimson shade within a light colour typical of the grape variety. Expressive and characteristic aromas of red and blue berries (raspberry, grenadine, blueberry). The light touch of oak is well integrated and complemented by a hint of menthol and rhubarb. The wine is round, velvety and well-balanced on entry to the palate, with a nice acid structure responsible for the finesse and elegance of the Pinot Noir. It finishes with elegant, fresh and spicy tannins and a lovely luscious sweetness.

After an extensive Chilean-wide search, an exceptional place was found in the coastal valley of Leyda, just 4 km from the Pacific Ocean, where wines with identity and character could be made. This cool coastal valley now produces Reserva wines which represent the Leyda terroir and always aim to respect the fruit and identity of each variety. These wines are expressive, direct, fresh and juicy. This Pinot Noir is a pure wine that is true to the variety. It is highly expressive, clearly revealing its cool-climate character.
