Johanne Pfeiffer and Christian Auricht sought a new life in the Barossa, where they married and raised a family. They brought their traditions with them, including brides wearing black dresses on their wedding day. Sadly, Johanne was widowed in 1860, and this wine is named Black Widow in her honour.

Made for use as a communion wine, it is suitably soft, sweet and approachable.

The pride of Macedonia, originating from the Tikves wine region. A delightful semi-dry red wine made from the indigenous grape variety Vranec. The wine has an intense red colour. It has a distinctive taste of raisins and raspberries. The wine has ripe tannins, giving it a pleasant some sweet aftertaste. The grape is known for its rich flavour and intense aromas.

Bin 138 is inspired by the wines of Southern Rhône, where Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro are blended to create full-bodied wines. Each year fruit for Bin 138 is sourced from old Barossa Valley vines (some more than 100 years old) and matured for 12 to 15 months in seasoned oak hogsheads to allow the different varietals to shine through. Bin 138 is defined by its distinctive plum, raspberry pastille and underlying spicy notes. The first vintage release of this varietal blend was the 1992, labelled Old Vine Barossa Valley it was then elevated to Bin status for the 1998 vintage. Medium-bodied and refined, expect an initial outer husk of berried flavours followed by a mid-palate burst of fruits. "Scuro" is a blend of Sangiovese and Shiraz from our Dark Horse Vineyard, co-harvested and co-fermented. Scuro (meaning "Dark") is named for both its Italian roots and for the impressive dark colour that took us by surprise during fermentation. Extended maturation in French Oak Hogsheads has resulted in a powerful and generous wine with a deep ruby hue, rich palate and great cellaring potential. Certified Organic, Biodynamic, Vegan-suitable.

Mount Etna is Europes highest volcano and one of the worlds most active. a Muntagna, as the locals call it, is rich in mineral components and the microclimate cool nights, warm days and wide ranging temperature variations endow the wines with extraordinary richness, minerality, fragrance and depth. Pietradolce, meaning sweet stone, was founded in 2005 by Michele Faro and his family. 100% Nerello Mascalese from Solicchiata on the Northern side, albarello grown at 600 metres. 18 days on skins and a brief three months in tonneaux, this is a lighter framed Rosso for drinking over the short to medium term. The red fruits here are crunchy and refreshing with floral, tobacco and minerally notes, the palate fine and elegant.

The Alternate Series A new exciting range of small batch wines for Haselgrove. Showcasing McLaren Vales Mediterranean climate and the emerging varieties that excel in the region. The Grenache Rose & Fiano will be joined by a Montepulciano. Brilliant pale salmon in colour. Lifted bright fresh fruit notes, summer berries, aromatic rose blossom and delicate hints of blood orange. The palate demonstrates all of the hallmarks of what one of McLaren Vales champion varieties can do as a Rose. Strawberries and cream, Turkish delight and bright red berries balance with a bone dry, crisp, moreish acidity and a textural citrus pith finish. We challenge you to stop at only one glass!
