Opens with layers of red berry fruit, with notes of crushed leaf and earth, fine yet deep tannins and the start of secondary development adding complexity.

Mr. Killerman lived in a humble tin shed in the hills behind Kilikanoon. He foraged through the Clare Valley for his meals, finding wild rabbit and many other gourmet treats. Characteristic Cabernet flavours of blackcurrants and dark chocolate are highlighted with touches of mint-cream. Malbec brings richness and vibrancy of colour, with red fruit, raspberry, and spiced plums. Cabernet’s firm tannins is balanced nicely with the generosity from Malbec, giving the wine great volume and length.

Sourced from up to 100 year old bush vine Grenache. Deep dark red core with black shaded edges and a bright red hue. Sailing from the glass are vibrant aromatics of raspberry, red cherry and red liquorice infused with fresh herbs followed by some delicate spicy earth notes. Rich succulent dark raspberry, ripe cherry and red liquorice fruits are delivered with excellent intensity across the mid weighted palate. Subtle notions of scorched earth and peppered dried herbs lie underneath. Polished tannins finishing with a nicely balanced youthful freshness and long juicy aftertaste.
