At its core is rich blackcurrant, and dark cherry, beautifully melding with dark chocolate and hints of charry oak with supple underlying tannins. Deep red currant colour. Briar blackcurrants, ripe plums and chocolate. The central palate is black currant cassis with creamy oak and cedar. Elegant in structure, the cherry finish is savoury and velvet soft.

This stylish Shiraz finishes long and well-balanced making it an easy wine to pair with grilled or roasted meats.

Sourced from up to 100 year old bush vine Grenache. Deep dark red core with black shaded edges and a bright red hue. Sailing from the glass are vibrant aromatics of raspberry, red cherry and red liquorice infused with fresh herbs followed by some delicate spicy earth notes. Rich succulent dark raspberry, ripe cherry and red liquorice fruits are delivered with excellent intensity across the mid weighted palate. Subtle notions of scorched earth and peppered dried herbs lie underneath. Polished tannins finishing with a nicely balanced youthful freshness and long juicy aftertaste. Bright red berries- boysenberries and raspberries- some fennel seed and sage, dutch licorice and classic Clare ironstone.It’s a really supple and sinewy wine, sculpted muscle through the palate tapering off to a fine tannin finish. It’s remarkably sprightly and fresh for its age and is only just hitting its straps. It’s got years ahead of it.

This is a wine proudly displaying its regional origins, rippling with the textbook dark fruit, spearmint, licorice and ironstone characters that define the region’s best cabernet based blends. It’s fine framed and nicely poised, lots of lively red fruits and a bright juiciness to the palate. Gently grippy, tightly wound tannins provide impressive length.
