Craggy Range Avery Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is a true star in the field of New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. This is a wine with quite brilliant structure consisting of a fine line of acid and great minerality. Flavour notes of herbs, wet slate and gooseberry to give some varietal lift.

This wine shows an array of fruit characters, ranging from citrus through to tropical notes. This is complemented by some secondary characters from the natural yeast ferments and also some barrel aging. The palate has an elegant structure with a creamy, textural mid-palate and a long finish.

It's made by an award-winning family winery, who were some of the first pioneers of the Marlborough region. Phil and Chris Rose founded the estate back in 1978, now their five children have joined them, so it's very much a family affair. Their Sunday Bay is a classic Sauvignon.
