The William Patrick is the Auld Family's flagship Shiraz, paying homage to Australian wine pioneer William Patrick Auld.This rich Barossa shiraz reflects the regions famed soils, with grapes taken from vineyards on the Valley floor. A full-bodied, soft, thick-set, unapologetically warm-climate shiraz.

Sourced from specially selected vineyards in central Barossa Valley around Nuriootpa. Matured for 2 years in 50% new oaks and 50% 1-year-old oaks. Using Mixed French and American Hogshead. Elegant rose and violet nose with bright mulberry and cherry notes. The detailed, balanced and restrained palate shows good depth of fruit flavour while the palate shows subtle tannin and structure. Great with any meat or just drink by itself. Drink now or age for 5 - 10 years.

The wine is a contemporary Barossa Valley Shiraz with over 2 years oak maturation adding subtle fruitcake, vanilla, licorice flavours to this complex wine. Reserve Black Velvet Shiraz 2015 This is a perfect blend of red and white grape varieties developed in the Cotes du Rhone district in Southern France. It is made possible due to both varieties maturing at the same time. They are crushed and fermented together to merge the flavours of these two noble varieties. Usually 3-5% Viognier is ample to introduce the floral aromas and contribute to the wines softness in the mouth. This wine has retained the Shiraz characters of cherry and raspberry with Viognier adding the floral aromas and slipperiness in the mouth.

Teusner Albert Shiraz is made from old vines in the northern Barossa; rich black fruits and tarry cassis with smoky undertones, the finish is long and luscious. Could easily be cellared for the medium term.

Every so often there are parcels of wine that generate tremendous excitement amongst the winemakers at Schild Estate. They set this aside to make Prämie, the wine that defines the best of the vintage and the land on which it was grown. Intense primary fresh plum flavours show again on the palate, where they hold their presence all the way through to roll out soft and pillowy at the finish. A firmly present, but fine tannin framework provides just enough focus and lift for the fruit to ensure added complexity, but retaining vibrancy to the mouth flavours of this Shiraz.

Spinifex Bete Noir Shiraz has a potent herb infused fruit on attack. Spiced red plum, cherry and sage flavours with a saline edge are carried on mid-weight frame of strong black tea-like tannin. Barossa Shiraz with even temper - displays fleshy, dark and generous fruit measured by ripe acids and drying tannin.
