Grant Burge reds always display classic Barossa style. This Shiraz has all the hallmarks with ripe cherry fruit smoky overtones and a good measure of sweet vanillin oak. In recent years has really began to hit its straps and with the last few Barossa vintages being on the warm side, this is a wine for the 'old school' Shiraz lover.

A tried and true expression of ripe and generously flavoured shiraz that lets the fruit do the talking rather than excessive oak or alcohol. Traditionally a blend of Barossa and Eden Valley estate grown fruit, there's so much to like here ; delicately scented spice, earth and licorice complexities intertwine with layers of supple, mouth filling blue and black fruits. This wine showcases a dark, brick-red color with a magenta hue and features complex aromas of cherry and plum. On the palate, rich black cherry and plum flavours come alive, accompanied by hints of licorice and mint, all with impressive length and finesse. It has been matured in French oak hogsheads (30% new) for 24 months, using air-dried wood from Francois Frere and Taransaud Coopers.
