The shiraz is an intense fruit driven wine with abundant bright black fruit flavours and a rich round pallet. Lingering dark red fruit, spice and subtle oak completes this shiraz that is ready for immediate enjoyment and will continue to improve over the next 10 years.

Earthy, smoky, gravelly nose, with hints of cured meats and gunflint, intriguing and complex. Robust and very dark on the palate, plush and powerful, mouthcoating density of fruit, that is ripe and textural. A substantial wine with longevity and presence.

Aroma: Complex ripe cherry and plum aromas on the nose. Palate: Rich black cherry and plum with liquorice and a hint of mint on the palate with length and finesse.

Dark red colour with purple hues. An expressive bouquet brimming with layers of blackberry tart, black cherry, cacao nibs and sweet spice providing an aromatic lift. Full bodied and complex on the palate, expressing layers of concentrated blood plum and black cherry, combined with undertones of cocoa, nutmeg and vanilla bean all culminating in a harmonious structure of dense savoury tannins. "Scuro" is a blend of Sangiovese and Shiraz from our Dark Horse Vineyard, co-harvested and co-fermented. Scuro (meaning "Dark") is named for both its Italian roots and for the impressive dark colour that took us by surprise during fermentation. Extended maturation in French Oak Hogsheads has resulted in a powerful and generous wine with a deep ruby hue, rich palate and great cellaring potential. The palate is full of intense dark fruits, with supporting mocha oak, sweet spices and hints of black pepper.
