This blend is unbaked which highlights the natural fruity character of the wine. There's lots of spicy cherry notes with blackberry and plum. Serve with slow-roasted pork shoulder and lots of greens. A lovely deep colour with aromas of lavender, violet, blackberries and a savoury, game quality. The palate balances a rich core with vibrant acidity which gives both power and precision to the mouthfeel. The tannins are gentle and ashen, and the black fruits, warm pepper and delicate barrel spice are all present throughout the long and elegant finish of the wine. Awards: • Silver

St Hugo GSM is aromatic and bright, yet exudes the style and pedigree which are hallmarks of the St Hugo label. This Grenache Shiraz Mataro blend shows lifted fruit aromas of Turkish delight and briary complexity. The palate is plush, full and complex. Ripe fruit flavours are complemented by silky tannins and subtle oak.

Dark fruit, blackberry, chocolate, black cherry. Velvety finish that is lovely and moreish. Very easy drinking, sweet but not too sweet, light but good flavour and legs, fruity but also some raisins and nuts.

A superb example of classic Barossa Shiraz. Bold, full-flavoured and complex, it offers great depth and silky tannins. Magnificent drinking now but will reward medium-term cellaring.

Calabria Pedro Ximenez & Semillon; a luscious, fortified wine of exceptional quality, wonderfully rich and decadent. Raisins, figs, dates and marmalade together with hints of rancio and banoffee pie. A dessert in itself, serve slightly chilled, though combining exceptionally well with ice-cream, blue cheese & charcuterie or even sticky ribs.
