Black Barrel is a unique small batch handcrafted blend rum from Mount Gay. Double-pot and single column distillates are aged separately in their own toasted oak whiskey barrels until reaching maturity. Aromas of toasted wood, oaky vanilla, sweet caramel and peppery notes. Warm and medium bodied with notes of bold spice valanced with oaky vanilla and sweet caramel.

Mount Gay Eclipse Rum is widely recognised as the oldest Rum in the world. Aged in charred, American oak barrels for a minimum of two years, producing a marvellous, semi-sweet Rum that has flavours of apricot, banana and vanilla. Until a 1960s grass roots community campaign shook things up, our beautiful, world famous Sunshine Coast was known as the Near North Coast. To us it feels like we’re close — but not quite there yet. And we like that a lot. Freshly juiced Maroochy River sugar cane, wild fermented and double distilled —with just a little sweet cane juice added. It’s clean, pure, grassy and herbaceous – just like a Sunshine Coast cane field on a beautiful sub-tropical day. Double Pot Distilled in the Hinterland Rainforest, Sunshine & Sons Original Cane is sweet and herbvaceous. On opening the bottle you will find all of the aromas carry the essence of fresh sugar cane; grassiness, herbal, floral, pear oil, fresh cucumber, fresh cane leaves, and lightly made toffee and syrup. On the palate are rich, ripe, juicy sugar cane notes, grassiness, and floral notes. It is herbaceous with a lovely soft spirit texture. With subtle hints of rose, candied lollies and lavender oils, Sunshine & Sons Original Cane is very aromatic and lifted on the palate with balanced sweetness added to give extra richness and a coastal uniqueness.

Bundaberg's Small Batch edition is crafted by blending the finest Bundaberg rums with the richest aged reserves from the distillery, then matured in sweet cognac and brandy barrels. The result is truly a complex creation with exceptional fruit flavours and the perfect balance of vanilla, honey and spice. These bottles are limited with each MDC Small Batch release referencing its batch and bottle number.
