Tasmania-based Jansz produces excellent sparkling wine and this is one of their finest. It's a rich, voluptuous style, with creamed honey and honeysuckle notes. A touch of aldehyde adds to the complexity and highlights its citrus and stone fruit before a persistent finish. The acidity cleanses the palate, making this a neat match to canapés but also to prawns, lobster or scallops.

The Bin 28 is named after the Kalimna vineyard that was purchased back in 1945 and from which the original fruit was sourced from. Devil's Corner Resolution Pinot Noir is a full bodied style of Pinot Noir showing blackberry, sour cherry and hints of cedar from the quality French oak. The wine displays a juicy fruit driven middle palate with a crisp savoury texture and fine grained tannins. Given the wines depth and structure it is well worth putting some away in the cellar and looking at it again in 5 to 8 years.

Barbadillo, an established quality Sherry producer since 1821, continue to produce some of the 'Jerez Triangle's' best examples for great prices. Proud to introduce their "reserve" level Pedro Ximenez, La Cilla, to our range, this exotic Sherry is made using sun-dried racking which emparts a luscious rainened flavour up front. On the wonderfully viscous palate, sultana flavours come to the fore with obvious notes of caramel. The wine though is beautifully balanced with sweetness that is not over the top in any way. Perfect served over some rich vanilla bean ice-cream!
